  1. Great looking work there. How do you like the MHX blanks? Did those decals come from mudhole?
  2. great looking baits!
  3. Seaguar Invisix 8lb. It's about the same diameter as 6lb from other manufactures. It's a little pricey but worth it in my opinion.
  4. I agree with the last two guys, just tighten it up a little more.
  5. It's an awesome little lake loaded with big fish. It's especially good at night.
  6. I haven't fished a sol but I love my ci4 paired up with a powell 703. I find myself retying more often when before I would pick up another combo, I just can't put it down.
  7. Great thread. I was just wondering about this and planned researching it tonight. You just saved me a lot of reading/searching time.
  8. i fished one last spring there with the logan county bassin boys and flopped it, and one there in 08 with the same group of guys before forming that club and won it...not sure which one you were at because I'm terrible with matching names with faces. I do know that I ran into you at RD sometime in Feb or Mar last year though. I fish out of a blue tracker. Sorry to hijack this thread. :-X
  9. dick, I was unaware that c-ville had a custom rodbuilder. You should start a thread with pics from some of your builds.
  10. How much? I might be interested.
  11. A white 3" mister twister grub. The next artificial to catch me a fish was a mepps aglia long in-line spinner.
  12. Does it reel backwards by any chance? Just wondering if they lubed it up and put in the anitreverse bearing backwards. Either way the seller screwed up big time. However, if it is an easy fix perhaps the seller will give a partial refund, say half the origional price, and make the deal worthwhile.
  13. Bought 3 spools of 15# in the bargin bin at Gander Mtn. to try. I didn't like it at all. I'll either use it as filler or sell it.
  14. D & L jigs. These are awesome. I'm not affiliated with them in any way I just like their product. http://www.tackleexperts.com
  15. I'll agree with that. I do think the Mojo is one of the better rods you can get new for 90 bucks, but I do find the 7' m spinning rod to be tip heavy. I also have a powell 703 mef that i bought used off this board for $100 shipped in perfect condition and it's leaps and bounds better.
  16. I like them wacky rigged or on a spot remover head. Great little worms.
  17. Is there any particular part of WV you'll be visiting? Do you prefer smallies or green fish?
  18. The best bite will probably be after dark.
  19. Ever fish with soft plastic jerk baits much? The Case Plastics SSS (salty sinking shad) is a phenomenal big fish bait for smallies. It's very similar to a super fluke but I think it has a little more action. It's my go-to in moving water.
  20. That is a grandaddy for "The Mon" for sure. You definitely had performance to be proud of, that river is fishing tuff as nails right now.
  21. It's most certainly over 6...I would say closer to 7. Great fish.
  22. I haven't been there since the beginning of Aug, but the fish were biting good while I was there. I was using jigs and shakey heads.
  23. I seen the 100's and 101's were still popular but I didn't know if the leftys were worth less. I would buy it for sure if it was a 101 :-/
  24. Shakey heads- Powell 703 mef. Lighter finesse techniques, (flick shake, drop shoting, split shotting) shimano crucial 7'2" medium light fast action.
  25. I can get a new in box curado 201b for $80. I know this reel is several years old and was wondering if this is a good deal. Thanks.
