When I was a teenager in Ft.Lauderdale Florida, my buddy and I each had 8' hydraplanes powered by 35 hp outboards, and we used to go wake jumping the big yachts in the intra-coastal waterway. In Arizona you can carry openly . I have had a concealed permit for 5 years. Arizona is a "shall issue" concealed carry state. Once you have passed the class the state "shall issue" the permit , as opposed to "may issue " states where you must show a valid reason for the government there to issue you a permit. Try a hair blowdryer for the stubborn carpeting. Treat your wood by mixing fiberglass resin and dilute it to a watery consistancy with acetone. Give it about 3 coats. I have been successfully using a solar charger to recharge and maintain charge on both of my boat batteries. A week before a fishing trip I turn my battery switch to "both" and expose the solar charger to the sunlight. My batteries are fully charged by the time I head out. My charger is 18" x 12", got it at Harbor Freight Tools. The charger is mounted to my boat @ 18" from the batteries on the transom. Works great for me. I also have 2 anchors. I put out the second anchor when anchoring overnight to keep the boat from turning in the wind on one anchor line. One anchor off the bow, one off the stern. Now about VHF radio. I wouldn't leave shore without one. You have emergency chanel 16 at your fingertips. Also my buddy also has VHF on his boat and we can communicate anywhere on a lake at any time. Our canyon lakes have sporadic at best to no service at all for cell phones so VHF is the way to go . I also mounted a pair of 4" motorcycle headlights on my bow for night time navigation. Nobody I know has ever heard of Seafoam before. I haven't seen it anywhere around here. I use Star-Tron mainly and marine formula Sta-Bil in a pinch. Are you nuts ? Particle board turns into mush when wet. Use exterior grade plywood without knots. This is the same as marine grade plywood . Treat it by the following method. Mix fiberglass resin and dilute it with acetone to a watery consistancy. Brush onto all surfaces and edges. Apply 3 or 4 coats. First coat or two will soak into wood.
