7 To 1 Spinning Reel?
I can't think of a good answer or a calculation. IPT will vary with the amount of line on the spool. To figure the speed needed to reel up the slack of a hooked fish swimming towards you, one would have to factor how fast the reel handle is being turned as well. Computing this is way over my head, but what isn't over my head is catching fish that can swim very fast, 20-30 and 40 mph is very common here and at times they do swim at you. The one thing I do know for sure, I can't reel in faster than some of these fish can swim, yet most of them are landed if hooked well. Personally I'd just would react to the situation and keep using the same reel. The scenario you described sounds like a lot fun, I'd be embracing that challenge not looking to make it easier.

Skunked
Don't even give it a thought. There are days I'm catching plenty of fish so it evens out.

Big Swimbait Discussion
I don't really have the right kind of water here, but I'm to try one of my bigger saltwater lures in a bass pond. The pond I have in mind I've been seeing 10-12 bass schooling that seem to be 20-25", don't know for sure how big until I catch one.

Spinning Preference
I use spinning for everything, don't feel I'm hampered in anyway regarding technique or size. I do believe a spinning rod is made to handle larger baits. I already own some, never bass fished with them, but see no reason why I couldn't.

What ? No Beer ???
When I was single I was in the bars 3-4 nights a week, but didn't drink at home or alone. Being married it's a social drink every now and then.

Asking For A Raise
No one other than you knows what's going on with your job, for me to give advice on a situation where I have no knowledge wouldn't be wise. I would trust my gut feelings, be very tactful and have a back up plan, things could backfire.

Quantum Or Abu Garcia?
I own both brands, spinning, I don't use a b/c. Never owned reels I liked better than my Quantum cabos. My 4 Abu sorons have been very good performers too, but I would preference them 1 notch down from my cabos. If and when I buy a new reel it will be a smoke pts. Both companies have excellent customer service. I use Pflueger supremes for my light fishing, no complaints there.

Why Does It Matter If The Box Is Included?
I keep the boxes for shipping, receipt inside but I do scan it and save to my PC just in case of misplaced or faded out.

Why So Many Rods?
We are influenced by what we watch on TV, reading fishing forums and articles on what it takes to catch fish. No question having more than 1 combo with you does allow more techniques to be fished more conveniently. Is it a must, of course not but it's nice to have. I have many rods and reels, as a rule I have but one with me at any given time. I don't feel any great hardship suffered adapting various techniques and lures to what I have with me at that time. From a standpoint of learning how to fish you may better off with 1 or 2 combos before getting technique specific, may not be a bad way to go.

The Most Sensitive Rod Money Can Buy
I probably don't use a rod much better than a cherrywood, I'm using a med 6'6 daiwa spinning rod with braid. Don't feel I'm losing out on the sensitivity at all. I don't do this kind of fishing very often but when I do I'm keeping my rod tip low to the water and out of the wind, reduces the "bow" in the line quite a bit.

Rod - Lure Weight Question.
I overload my rods for my morning fishing everyday, I don't have rod that I don't overload, in fact most people I know do the same thing. I under load as well, an 1/8 jig on 1 oz mh is a common practice. I have never seen any rod damage to me or anyone over the last 10 years. My afternoon fishing is either bass or peacocks, I never overload these rods there isn't any point to it.

Has It Been Good Or Bad?
Number wise far from my best year, if the fish aren't here you just can't catch them. Size wise, pretty darn good year so far and "my season" is just staring.

Big Shoutout To Abu Customer Service.
Pure Fishing IMO is as good as it gets, many reels have been replaced just sent in for a cleaning.

Omniflex Braid
I have 1 reel spooled up with Omniflex braid, other than having a larger diameter it's performed well. Walmart no longer carries it where I'm at, they do carry another budget braid which I have not tried.

How Often Do You Catch Lunkers?
Seems that way around here, days when I catch mostly larger ones and days when just the smaller ones are active. The places I bass fish in Florida hold some decent fish but a DD is going to be pretty rare. Fishing these ponds and canals on foot is not the same as a "bass factory" with a guide.

Pond Fishing
South Florida community ponds must be different. We have a fellow that's just here in the winter, fishes the same small pond every day with nothing but a senko, day in and day out it's fish after fish caught. I've been fish the same ponds for the last 10 years, I don't fish senkos much, for me it's the same hard lures, I don't change much. I don't catch as much as the other guy but I do catch just about every time I fish.

Tried To Sight Fish A Relatively Large Bass Today.... Pretty Sure She Just Laughed At Me For About An Hour And A Half
It appears to me anyway that you over analyzed everything. 90 minutes in one place to catch one fish with a number of different presentations, sounds like you were there 80-85 minutes too long. Had you worked more water you may have found a fish more receptive and maybe a bigger one at that.

Yo-Zuri Hybrid Dissapearing?
Down here too.

Shimano Stradic Vs Lews Team Gold
No fishing experience with Lews, with in-store fondling the reel was not impressive, the stradic would be my choice.
-
Line To Line Knots
Braid to braid or to leader the alberto. Mono to mono, no knot, fresh spool of line.

Tackle Storage, Tackle Boxes
I'll usually have 3 rods with me, 2 stay in the car just about always. First stop is 4-5 am, with rod #1, stop 2 at dawn rod #2 comes out, I may never get to rod #3. I use the same lures for each rod, my lure of choice is decided when I get there, depending on what the water and wind looks like. I'll fish with one lure, don't change often or at all, have 2-3 backups with me, I don't have a tackle bag.

What Would Be
Just a few, peacock bass, snook, tarpon, permit, and barracuda. A number of species that are catches of opportunity as no one knows when or if they will show up so they can't targeting, bluefish, jacks, mackerel, runners, and bonefish.

Is It Possible To Have A Finesse Spinning Bass Setup That's Also Good For Sw (Redfish, Trout)?
Great advice but only kikstand has it right. A ml rod is the absolute worst rod to have, it's barely ok for small fish and limited to only to boat or light beach use, you'e dead from a sea wall or jettie. For a 1 rod and reel combo I would only consider a 7 or 7'6 med hvy and a 4000 SALTWATER reel. A second set up a med rod and 3000 reel is good for boat and beach.
