Snake!
I treat every snake as water moc, they freak me out. By nature water moccasins spend the majority of their time in the water except to sun themselves to regulate body temperature. Possibly but unlikely one will be in a garage unless you live very close to water. Can't always tell by the coloration or banding, that can vary, the head shape is triangular and the inside of the mouth is white, I hope not to be that close. Small ones may be more dangerous than larger ones, venom is just as potent and they don't conserve it like bigger ones do. I try to be very cautious where I freshwater fish, certain places I just won't go.

Where Would You Go?
It would not be something that I can catch right where I live, it has has to be a species uncommon to my home waters. I can think of a lot places and different kinds of fish I'd like to target.

Your Pb, How Long Ago, How Big,kept Or Release
My biggest bass has come sometime within the last 10 years, that's how long I've been living in Florida. Don't carry a scale so I don't know exactly, but I'd say it was pretty darn good. All my bass are released.

Reel Dilemma
I have desires but no dilemmas. I'm looking to make a few reel changes not because I dislike what I'm using, it's just getting time to try something different.

... Attractants?
A piece of cut bait dangling in the water will catch fish, it has to be the smell attracting them. If others choose to use these enhancement products that's fine with me, but I would not use them. The challenge to me is as important as the actual conquest, I seldom use the type of baits to put an enhancement on.

Haven't used them myself only seen them used on a tv show but may be worth a try sometime. http://yo-zuri.com/Products/Sashimi_Circle_Hook_Series/details/Sashimi_Circle_Hook_Jerkbait_Suspending.html

More Than Little
Not all fish of the same size of any species are always going to strike then fight exactly the same.

Replacing Trebles With Singles
A year or 2 ago Yozuri came out with single hook lures, SW fishermen have been changing them on their own for quite some time. I've done it myself but not for freshwater. I much prefer a single hook on my spoons where ever I fish.

How Long Should I Wait After I Weed-Eat Around A Pond?
I would fish right away too. I'm not much in the camoflauge clothing, walking on air, and standing way back to cast camp. I'd be fan casting with about 10 yd casts, I think that's a lot of water covered where the fish won't be spooked.

Lure And Line
From a technical standpoint there is a difference in line diameters, casting distance, lure depth and so on. From a reality standpoint the first fish to the lure is the one I'm catching, could be 1 or 10#, I don't have control over that.

Can I Fish Here?
I pretty much agree with this, although I have had the police ask me to leave a few times, they were just doing their job. As a rule I don't trespass, being obsessed with peacocks this summer I went to a place that I was told held some good fish. First off there was a number of no trespass signs which indicated to me they were serious about this. I fished anyway and on about 4 th cast I land a good 4 pounder. At that point I decided getting hassled over a 4 or 5 pound fish wasn't worth it to me, I haven't been back there.

Relevency Between # Of Bearings And Reel Quality
It's the reel itself not the bearings. Stradic not a lot bearings and very good reel, a cabo has more bearings and it's my favorite in that class, but a Penn captiva has 11 bearings and it's not very good reel, it can be bought for $29.95

Bass Fishing In Riviera Beach, Florida
That's no joke. I've never fished bass up there, just not familiar but I do know the area and some really good fishing there. Palm Beach inlet noted for huge jacks, park by the police station. I would check out Peanut Island in the ICW, there is a ferry located at the Sailfish Inn, not a bad place to fish. Cross over the bridge and go north on A1A a short distance to the City Beach, an excellent beach to fish from and it's that time of year now.

Can I Fish Here?
Totally untrue ! How many people put private property signs on their front lawn, in many communities the HOA would have it removed as it doesn't conform. All property is owned, whether it's government, private party or a corporation, it's all public record and easily obtained. As far as an industrial park goes chances are you won't get to talk to the property manager, someone fishing is a pretty trivial matter to them and probably wouldn't call back. If they did it you probably get a no because liability issues. IMO if one fishes an industrial area where you are not interfering with business or parking no one is going to say anything, if they do just leave when asked.

Misconceptions About Catching Big Bass!!
If one adheres to the old adage that 90% of water has no fish, the 10% will hold the majority of fish, to me that puts location as the #1 factor. Ambush predators of any species generally go after the easiest meal to catch, that's a slow moving bait fished near cover, structure, water color changes, and shadows. One may have to go thru many more small fish to finally hook up with that larger one. It's true bass are caught with faster moving baits targeting aggressive fish more so than ambushers, which actually is my fishing preference, in theory that would make me a prime candidate for these larger lures. For the "one" the big baits aren't a bad way to go, but I do feel fishing structure and cover slowly will catch large fish but ya gotta catch a lot of small ones too.

Transporting Rods On Vehicles
I see rods just strapped to the roof with tips forward all the time, never heard of any breakage. I have trunk pass thru, I much prefer that.

Can I Fish Here?
If the building is in an industrial park more than likely the business owners are leasing space, there will be an owner and probably a management company handling their affairs. To find out who owns property, go the the county appaiser's web site, each parcel will have owners name and other information. As far as being able to fish it, that's pot luck. Some will mind other's won't, but not only do these companies lease space they also lease their parking lot as well.

Misconceptions About Catching Big Bass!!
I'm in agreement with Catt and Raul. It is location, not only the existing structure of one's local area but location of the country (Mexico too), I never caught bass close to what I catch in Florida when I lived in Michigan, it's a whole lot easier here too. My biggest bass come from canals, usually there is too much vegetation or floating grass and sea lettuce and shallow water nothing seems to work better for me than a weedless fluke. I fish ponds too and some of these ponds hold some really nice sized fish, I can't justify using a rod heavy enough to handle a swimbait for maybe a 24" fish. 90% of the time it's a ml spinning rod and a good portion of my fish over 20" come from a top water lure. No knock on big baits, but it isn't for me.

Kiss Of Death
Seldom does lightning strike 2 days in a row but I'm getting ready to leave no later 3 am to fish for them. Yesterday I was using a Bomber long A broke back, IMO too big a lure for tarpon so I'm downsizing and will be fishing a jerk shad and bucktails. I prefer a single hook especially for a rock hard jaw like a tarpon.

Yo Zuri Hybrid 10Lb/ Spinning Reel
I think the above is absolutley correct, any brand 10# line that breaks at 14# is 14# line. I do believe line diameter is the key to management. As much of a braid lover as I am I'm considering a move to mono at least for a trial. My windknots are getting to be excessive on my freshwater reels. If unhappy with mono I've been considering a new reel to use with braid, I do already know that that reel will be.

Kiss Of Death
I no longer believe getting a strike or catching a fish on the first cast is the kiss of death. Made my first cast at 4:am, snook #1 then on the next 3 casts 3 more snook landed. A lull in the action for about 5 casts and it started up again, 6 more caught, from 7 to about 12#. No tarpon today. Tide changed and that's all she wrote.
