  1. TIN thanks for the advice but when your using 6lb test with a crank bait you use a spinning reel. Kelly salmons whos is Dean Rojas tournaent partner and bassmaster judge taught it to me when we where fishing a tournament on Otay lake which has really really clear water right now and its highly pressured .and i do have a new camera.
  2. picture number 5 is at lake dixon, the lake where the 19lber,20lber and 25lber came out of. When it was 25lbs it was snagged by mac weakley. So he didnt submit it for a world record
  3. Thats the bluegill pattern. The vids are in progress but i have a bunch on youtube already, just type in indymusky2. I think this is one of the only forums people dont talk smack to each other and everyone acts like adults. I really appreciate it.
  4. yea most of them where taken with a disposable lol then i had to devolop and scan them in at my work. sorry about the quality i have them all on video tho and its in good quality.
  5. Summers over but it wasnt to bad. Most fish were caught on mattlures ultimate bluegill or a drop shot 4lb floro with a roboworm usually morning dawn mm3 or purple weenie. weighed that fish went back to the same exact spot and boom.
  6. hey those are some great fish, i live in the san diego area, are you farther up north.
  7. yea you can go to youtube and type in indymusky2 and you should be able to see my videos. i have a hitachi hybrid blue ray camcorder. it works wonders.
  8. i used to musky fish on lake pf the woods its beautiful out their man.
  9. thanks i wrote the song. lol
  10. Pre fishin a aba tournament me n a buddy recorded some good looking fish all caught on 4lb test florocarbon. Diamond valley lake ca most where caught on roboworms or handpours.
  11. ive never caught a carp bass fishin but i tell myself the same thing lol
  12. nice. looks somewhere around 3.5 maybe 4lbs still a good fish
  13. Fished with Julian(sam bass) and kevin(bassman2008). Started off first cast boom! hookup. According to kevin this means its going to be a slow bite for awhile, boy was he right. haha so after some slow fishing for a couple hours we got off the main lake and julian got us on some rock piles and we started stickin em. The numbers really didnt start going off until the late evening around 4 or so but it really turned on. Even tho the morning fishing was slow it was still a good time, we exchanged alot of information on lures, reals and the reasons we choose to fish the areas we do. Def some class acts and it was great fishing with ya, Right before (sambass) casts he says, come on barrett reward me. Then instantly boom fish on. haha ive never seen someone call out a big fish like that. Got this one on the rocks julian took us to and bassman with a chunk another rock bass and this one guys i know is hard to believe. But i got a bass with my hook in its mouth that i broke off on the week before in the same exact spot. The line matched along with the same exact 1/ dropshot hook i use for soft plastics. Bassman and julian are my witnesses. lol we ended the day with somewhere around 60 or 70 fish and the majority of them came after 5. Real slow morning bite with a afternoon bite that never showed up. But the evening def made up for it so stay after it and youll get into em.
  14. Another is cheap internet advertising at its everywhere. You want to put ads where they are going to work the best and fishing websites and forums are a good start.
  15. Well if you are spon by danali rods or if your just getting a jersey those are two big diffrences. IF your just getting a jersey and promoting their name everywhere your spon the rod company not the other way around. But if your recieving rods money or entry fees you need to call everybait n tackle you can find a number for. Theirs thousands and thousands of tackle shops that want the best gear. You need to be able to explain to them why your rod is better then most rods. And dont be afraid to call places like Bass pro shops and cabela's because each store has its own sales rep. Also get other fisherman to promote for you. Everyones always looking for a spon and tell them a company can become interested to spon them if they can sell the rods to diffrent tackle shops.
  16. way to go. when your catchin fish like that and the average fish is under 2lbs its def a good time to pat yourself on the back, i grew up in northwest indiana and the bass dont get very big in that area and a 5lber is like catching a 10lb plus here in socal.
  17. haha yea thats what i thought before i moved out here. These socal waters are the most pressured bodies of water in the country and are usually the clearest. All those bass i caught are northern strain not florida strain and theres no trout stock. Even on the lakes with florida strain at the tourny weigh ins more then 60 percent dont catch a limit and most are won on 15lb or less. and thanks for the compliments guys it was a blast.
  18. Went out with julian(sam bass) to the big b (lake barrett and we did some damage. It was a day fiiled with healthy sized bass. The topwater really didnt turn on and the soft plastics seemed to be the ticked. flylines stickbaits on floro with drop shot hooks seemed to work the best along with jigs first good one #2 #3 And julian got into some chunks as well. heres a real good one from julian
  19. indymusky replied to WVcrank's topic in Fishing Tackle
