  1. Went out on Sat. and Disappointment slough was not a disappointment. OTW at 7:30 am right at the outgoing tide swing and picked off 3 with drop shotting a purple finesse worm at 3 to 3.5 lbs. That bite last about 2 hours and then tried some jigs and wacky senkos to no avail. Then I tied on my Lucky Craft deep diving Craw Crank and that called all the big boys. Two got a grand tour of my boat, 1 at 5 lbs and the other just shy of 6. The other 2 came unbuttoned at the boat and first time in a long while that there were no lost rigs. Water was around 60 and clearing so Top Water and Kermit are not far away. Just a Simple man
  2. I will be out on Saturday myself. The recon I have done indicates plastics and water still not warm enough for topwater. I will be drop shoting around disaponitment slough. Good luck
  3. Water needs to be 60 plus and clearing.
  4. Hey Badog I fished with you and Hobieblue last fall at Holland Tract. On NCKA I go by shifty1 but sold my Yak and bought a PB. Still hitting the Delta but no more sore back and muscles. I'll keep an eye out for you and Hobie out there.
  5. Hey Badog are you a Kayak angler?
  6. Nor-Cal X3, Delta is warming up. 8-)

  8. Last Oct I was fishing the Delta in my Kayak in a cut between two main channels. A speed boat filled with kids came by on the main channel causing a big wake that pushed me into the tulies. I guess the kids enjoyed that and came back through the cut and almost swamped me. I decided I needed to defend my self the next time and stretched my anchor rope across the 30 ft. cut as a warning to slow down. Well they didn't slow down until the 40 ft of yellow poly stopped their prop. My ears were burning from the profanities as I paddled out to the other channel. After that I caught my personal best that day.
  9. Hi everyone this is a great site. I have been Kayak fishing for the last few years but find that for Bass fishing, kayaks are quite cumbersome. I need to stand up. I have bought a power boat and I think it will increase my success. I live in the SF Bay Area and fish the Delta and foothill lakes. Always looking for new friends and fishing buddies.
