Wierd Pic On The Mobile Version On My Iphone
I noticed this the other day. Using the mobile version of the site on my iPhone there is a pic of someone holding a fish in the upper right corner where you push to sign in and check your profile. Strangely enough it isn't on my iPad when I switch to mobile version. Any body else have this or know what's causing this ?

Quantum Energy Pt Rod?
I have 2 of the energy pt rods n 6'6" mh. I bought them from Wally World for $22 each either mistagged or clearanced. They have been great rods. I have used them for just about every thing I can think of. I would not hesitate to buy another one.

Trouble With Quotes
I noticed the same thing in mobile version. The quoted post was no longer in gray boxes. It was very hard to tell where the quote stopped and the post started. Seems to be working now though.

Cheap Effective Lures
I will certainly be putting the above link to use , however back on the subject of cheaper alternatives I have $3 baits that i use regularly and is 4 years old. That's less than $1 per year. If I buy a $15 bait of the same design it would take 15 years to get that kind of value. Also if you are afraid to put the bait where the fish are due to how much it cost , then the extra money you spent is not doing much good. I completely agree that some cheaper baits are made just awful, but I also believe that there are other baits that are quality built at a lower cost.

Topo Apps For Phones
The navionics app is the best I have found for my iPhone. Add a life proof case and a cheap car phone mount and you have a good GPS,topo, satellites for the boat. You can also drop pins (waypoints) and individually name them to let you know what structure or cover is there.

Oh Sam!!!!
Yea that was an emabarrising moment for our team however the mark of a good program is recovering from adversity not completely falling to pieces after a bcs bowl win.

Cheap Effective Lures
Check out academy's H2O line of baits. Good looking and good producing baits at 1/2 the cost of major manufactures. It's the only lure that I will by at full retail anymore.

Used Boat
Yea like others have said if the boat is in good shape and has been checked out I would jump on it. Nothing like being the proud owner of your own boat. Plus if you do well you can invest and upgrade as necessary.

Arkie Shaky Heads
I use the jerky head a lot and have good success with them. I like them because of the wire bait keeper. I do not like screw lock type holders and I can easily get the bait on and off the jig head easily. I wish the hook was better and they came in more of a standup head. Maybe I can talk one of the jig makers on the site to make a few up for me.

Oh Sam!!!!
Well Sam is the first to have some fun with college football so he was certainly in my list of people to razz after my local friends that are all SEC'ed up runnin around screaming " let's go c**cks " at every turn. Maybe since Sam likes play on word names for football teams and their coaches so much (i believe Clepson rings a bell)we should give his beloved bayou bengals a new name. Of course the hatter is certainly mad these days probably more like peed off after having his ACC domination steak ended. And maybe we should go with the LSUoosers for the team... Hahaha. Sorry Sam just got to give ya a hard time.!!

Bass Pro Qualifier Help
No the centrifugal brakes are inside the left side plate. The brake pads have a tag on the face that you push up or down to turn the brakes in or off. Only the magnetic brakes are controlled by the dial on the side plate. The knob on the right side is spool tension. Reel the lure up till its about 6 inches from the tip of the rod and rotate the knob counterclockwise to losen the tension until the lure slowly starts to fall. If you are new to baitcasters than set the tension to where a light shake of the rod will make the lure fall. You will lose a little casting distance but it will help with backlashes. FWIW my pq's have 2 centrifugal brakes on and the magnetic brakes are set to 2 after I have correctly set the spool tension.

What's A Major That Lets You Stay In The Fishing Industry?
There are probably 2:1 marketing jobs in the fishing industry than sponsorships. They also make a guaranteed paycheck. If I had to chose I would go with a marketing job for say bass pro shops rather than be a professional angler sponsored by them. Just my $.02

Pro Qualifier Lube Help
Grease. It is there so you can apply it to the main gear and keep it and the pinion lubed without having to take the side plate off. However I find that after the yearly service I give mine I don't have to put any more grease on the gears.
