Eva Or Cork?
Split grip Eva all the way. I do have some cork but for some reason I just prefer Eva. However if there is a rod I like a different grip isn't going to deter me from buying it.

Ios 7
Got it on the ipad. So far so good. But for the iPhone it takes up most of the storage space I have left 2.9gb to be exact. Not sure if I will download on the phone or not. Guess I see how the ipad does for a bit.

Time To Stir The Pot!
Lets face it the Sec has 3-4 good teams bama,a&m, lsu so far come to mind with Georgia looking to rebound. SC and gators are slipping to more of a upper middle of the pack teams. LSU still needs to prove itself and even though i love me some horned frogs, i don't think thats a great test of strength for LSU. The ACC has 2-3 good teams with Clemson and FSU. FSU freshman qb has yet to be tested so we will have to see how they handle big games. Miami looks like it may be up and coming of the win over Florida. The SEC has a legit reason to feel superior base on one fact. They consistently win non-conferance games! I hate to admit that part but its just true. Does that mean that a SEC team like Kentucky or Tennessee can beat Clemson or Oregon consistently? Heck no! The ONLY way to knock the SEC off its high horse is to start beating them in non conferance games. I do believe however that the ACC is the SEC's biggest threat conferance wise to take over.

Vendetta Vs. Veritas Vs. Volatile
I have all three choices. Currently using 4 gen1 vendettas , 3 veritas(2 winch models) and 1 volatile (ML). Honestly the volatile and veritas seem to be the same rod other than a few minor differences like reel seat ( the veritas has a more open reel seat design and curved trigger which does take some getting use to) , fore grip ( the veritas does not have one vs the eva on the volitlie) and color( white for veritas and blue for volatile). The vendettas are great rods for the price but lack in eyelet number if that matters( 7 +tip for less than 7'3 rod on the vendetta vs 9+tip on the veritas/volatile) If I had $99 to spend I would probably get the veritas because I like the different reel seat, number of eyelets and color but thats it. Those are really the only 3 differences in the rods other than the $20 between the vendetta and veritas/volatile.

Baitcasting Reels
Same thing that makes a car cost $300000 or $30000. Better machining that equals tighter tolerances, innovation, better quality components and marketing will always equal a higher cost. But I do believe that you can still get some quality products for 1/3 the price of $300.

Time To Stir The Pot!
From someone who lives about 10 min away from the stadium it's a horrible location. The facility itself is pretty nice. I have seen just about every square inch of the place Including the coaches box and locker rooms. You couldn't pay me to go down their on game night as the traffic is terrible on bluff road and generally more than one accident because of the cramped conditions. Oh yea lets not forget that they moved the farmers market 30 miles away out of town to make room for the new "park" costing many their jobs and lively hood. Gotta love that SEC money......

Lowest Cost Combo You Use?
I have 2 $30 vendettas mounted with a $60 president baitcaster and $50 asaro baitcaster. All bought new. I have 2 $25 quantum pt energy rods paired with more of the $50 asaro. All bought new. Then there is the daiwa ballistic crankin rod for $65 paired with a $30 PQ . rod was new PQ was used. A $39 h2o express with a $40 PQ . rod was new reel was used. One of the least inexpensive was a $39 vendetta spinning with a daiwa exceler spinning for $15 both bought new. Also have 2 $70 veritas with $50 gold carbonlites. Rods were new reels were used. A $50 revo s on another $70 veritas. Both new. And the least inexpensive......a $20 carbonlite paired with a $30 PQ. Both used Guess I'm a sucker for clearance and close out deals and good working used equipmemt. Bottom line is if ya have patience you can get some smokin hot deals.

Casting Braid On A Baitcaster
Curious to know why having a high drag produces more backlashes? Never heard of this before and can't think of why it would matter.

Oh yea that make's it ok to do...:-/. Basically Georgia is saying we can't handle your up tempo offense so we will do whatever we can to disrupt it, to bad it didn't help. But all college teams resort to some sort of gamesmanship one way or another, after all the ultimate objective of college football is to win.

Bass Pro Shop Trip!
Just got back from there today. While the wife and son went to ikea for furniture shopping for him I got out and headed to bass pro. I enjoy going and looking around and concord mills is one of the nicer ones I've been too (3 total). Although other than a few plastics in different colors, I never walk out with much because it just seems that I can buy the same thing at a different store for much cheaper. Case in point BPS was selling the berkley line spooling station for $33 and I just bought one at a different store for $24, and no it wasn't on sale. Just wish BPS would get their prices more in line and it would be the ultimate store.
