If you have smart phone you can get an app called Line. Most of the people I met in Japan use this app. Free message any where in the world. That's how I keep in touch with the people I met while there.

People from Asian countries frequently mix up L and R sounds . I spent three hours with a coworker from Japan while I was their trying to teach him how to correctly pronounce Early ( he pronounced it EALRY) and that after plane rides we do not suffer from jet rag. But try speaking their language once and you will appreciate how difficult correct pronunciation of a foreign language is.

What Do The Pros Use?
I have often wondered if it was as simple as a company giving free gear. I would think it would be easier on the company and pro sponsored if company gave say $20000 for sponsorship and then pro bought 10000 worth of companies gear. It would be much easier to track inventory and accounting wise. And I would think that would put a limit on how much the pro uses. Obviously JVD can't order 1000 Metaniums and they be free. It would also help the contract for the company if the pro stayed with the same one. 2000 for Abu sponship per year. 1000 on reels the first year then second year pro stays with Abu and keeps all 2000 while using same gear from first year.

Crankbait Rod
7'2" rod for me. I bought it originally because it's the longest rod that will fit in my boats rod locker. Having said that I really like that length and probably would not go any bigger. Just personal preference.

In Need Of A Light Weight Medium Fast Rod.
H20 ethos for 59.99 from academy. ... Won't find a better rod for the price.

Looking For A Crankbait Rod Under $100
Veritas winch 99.99. A great graphite crankin rod! I use 2 of them on my boat. Also the daiwa ballistic on sale at TW is a good rod. I use the mh for deep diver and it works very well.

College Bowl Games
Anyone impressed with this years match ups? I am not. Here's my take on the bigger ones: Chic-fil-a. Only way duke wins is if a&m's bus blows a tire and they fail to make it to the stadium Capitol one. Unfortunately Darth Visor will probably walk away with this one. Outback- please. LSU will need to send in their 3 string after the first quarter so that the score isn't 140-0 Rose- probably the best match up of all the bowl games. Fiesta- Baylor uses UCF as a door mat Orange- whoever has the ball last wins. Sugar- roll tide rolls right on over Oklahoma Cotton- maybe another good match up but mizzu will probably be the victor NC- I think it will be a good game but I would much prefer to see 2 undefeated teams going at it. It's a shame that didn't happen this year.

So Let's Hear It! What For Christmas??
This Christmas was mostly boat stuff. Onboard 2 bank charger, hydrofoil , another boat cover, portable Bluetooth speakers ,some fishing lures and a daiwa alpha custom finesse that I brought back from Japan.

Your Fishing Days Per Year

Abu Garcia Silvermax
I had a black max for a long time and it was a decent reel. I do not believe it is intended for light weights though. Anything under 3/8oz was difficult to cast. But that's about the same with most baitcast reel unless you get Into the finesse class reels. Rods also have a lot to do with how light of weight you can throw. I have never heard of "breaking in" a reel. Other than a cleaning their should be no breaking in. Nothing should flex and tolerances are not menant to be changed. Also might want to change your font as it's difficult to read. Just a thought.

What Was Your First Boat?

Bass Resource Made Me Do It
Veritas rods , PQ reels, Alabama rig. various line , lures and accessory items. List is very long. Reviews and opinions from members here carry more weight than any other site I frequent. My only regret was the A rig but not because of BR , just wasn't my style.

Jdm Reel Experts Help Please
Since I am in Japan now I can tell you that you will see a price decrease for JDM reels. Metaniums are currently Y26750 ($270) on sale for Christmas (yes they. Celebrate it just not for the same reason we do, or should, more just marketing buy stuff thing) scorpian xt Y15100 ($150) pixy 68r Y27650 ($270) and you can get almost any reel for $500. Here's a pic of a deps inspire diawa reel I took this past week end. Also check out these 2 stores while you are here. The second one has been extremely good to me price wise. 1. http://www.point-i.jp 2. http://www.tackleberry.co.jp Tokyo May be different than where I am at ( southern region) but I think you will enjoy the culture and hospitality of the japanese people. Oh and the fishin gear ain't bad either. :-) Here are some threads on my visits to the tackle stores here. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/116915-jdm-anyone-part-2/ http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/127851-best-deal-yet/ http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/116375-jdm-anyone/

Finally Got Them
I have the exact same frame with more of a grey lens 400g I believe. I use them for every day driveing and the are really comfortable. You need to watch the rubberized sections though as they wear out quickly and will come off of the frame. I have had to glue mine back on several time. Also I notice you have cabels in the back which is a good idea because again the rubberized part will quickly wear out an you will have plastic sticking out the back. Not a great feel when putting them on. Best of luck to ya.

In no way SHOULD bama go to the NC. If OS loses to mich st then the best 1 loss team that wins there conferance championship should go. I auburn wins then they should go and if mizzu wins then they should go. A team should not be rewarded with a NC opportunity if they can't make it to their own conferance championship. If FSU loses the all h*** breaks loose.

Best Deal Yet
I got the pfluger at academy store in Columbia when it first opened. I saw the reel sitting on the rack with a 59.99 price tag so I asked if that was right and the sales clerk said yea. He thought maybe a special price since the store was first opening but they had many deals that day. Got a couple of members here 2 citica e for 49each? And another a curado 50e for $99 that day. I believe this was when they were closing out the e series.
