  7. Yes, thanks for sharing.
  8. For BIG BASS you cant go wrong with California. The only bad part is the waters here get ALOT of pressure.
  9. Try using the split shots with out the little "Ears", the completely round ones. They come through stuff very well.
  10. I'm still a newbie but welcome back!
  11. I like to use them on Hudds
  12. I've never used them and I'm pretty sure its illeagal to use them in California so be sure to check your laws. However, to answer your question, I think you would want to fly line them with no weight. I would think that hooking them through the lips would work. I know I've used minnows before and tail hooking them as well as hooking them through the back works as well.
  13. South Central CA here. Lake Isabella would be considered my home lake.

  15. I'm another that says as long as you know what your doing, build your own. Yes, it can cost more but you can add only quality components.
  16. I like to Carolina rig a Zoom Magnum Lizard
  17. For me its only the finest, Daiichi Death Trap Treble's. One trick I ALWAYS do is to off set the points from center, remember the Excaliber Rotating Treble's? While I do get hung up more often I also get more hook ups. EDIT: As others have said, replace hooks with the same size it came with.
  18. I use 2 different kinds, Edge Products Hot Sauce and Smelly Jelly Pro Guide Formula in Crawfish Anise
