  1. I am gong to fish tournaments a little more frequently this year and have to ask a question: as a non-boater, limited to 5 or 6 rods, what kind of variety would you carry? I know that there are a lot of variables but this is just in general.
  2. Ive never owned one but a guy I fished with on Guntersville a few days ago had one and liked it a lot.
  3. It depends on the structure. I definitely prefer a longer rod mostly for distance purposes. Right now Im using a 7'0" but Ive got my eyes on a 7'8" Ike rod.
  4. Past experience has taught me to go with 14lb mono. It feels much better on a baitcaster IMO. An exception would be if you were finnessing it up, like for me, I keep 10lb flouro on my Sol 7'0"M baitcasting combo.
  5. 30+ lb braid is one option. Right now Ive been into the Power Pro brand. If youre not comfortable with the braid, 14-20lb flouro would probably serve you well. P-line and BPS XPS 100% Flouro are pretty nice.

  7. No problem. I hope you get it resolved before good weather.
  8. Ive got an echolon and couldnt get the side plate off. I finally realized that there is a screw on the inside that you have to take the spool side cover+spool out to reach.
  9. Wow! Those are all incredible but I especially like the Crazy Cranker.
  10. I like the little strike king trailers and little paca chunks. Sorry I dont know what the strike king trailers are called but they are about the perfect size for the bitsyjigs.
  11. Muddy, thats pretty darn cool.
  12. I wish I knew where those were. Id show you two how to not catch fish the right way
  13. Ahoy matey! Teh scallywag bait-dewgong bit ye good it did.
  14. Haha, I remember when you bought that little reel, it got laughed at. Now its all grown up... sort of.
  15. I have one that I picked up for about 28.00 new and it is pretty nice. More imporantly, upon comparing it to a handfull of of 60 dollar range reels, it was definitely the better made one.
