  1. TH Marine sells weld on skegs if you want it to look original.
  2. Give the Picasso pro metal weights a try. They are a mix of lead and other metals. They are not as small as tungsten but for $3 for 5 they aren't bad. I only wish they sold them in plain color.
  3. After several hooks in the hand, I always net treble hooked fish now. I usually just reach down and pick up single hooked fish.
  4. My grandfather is 94 and really not able to cast anymore so I take him trolling from time to time. Our best fish come dragging crank baits across points going with the current.
  5. Skinny dipper on a fish head spin.
  6. When you figure inflation Curados cost less today than they did in the 90s.
  7. I use a white sunfly above and below a fluke on a DS. I have caught 2 at once tons of times but never been able to get 3.
  8. And then few years later he'll get married and be back to following orders again.
  9. If it is too stop fishing I can relate to the guy. I have had countless jigs and weights bounced off the side of my boats and it's aggravating. Some people have no respect for others property and some are just delusional about their casting abilities. I had a guy trying to skip my floating dock a couple weeks ago and he actually hit my ski boat sitting 2 feet out of the water on a lift. On the other side I posted a while back about a pier with band saw blades strung around it to cut fishing line. That's taking it too far IMO.
  10. You can link a kicker off your big motor with a link bar or there are kits to hook them up with a hydraulic ram if you have hydraulic steering. I would check with the lakes first and make sure you can launch a boat with a 60hp on it with a kicker.
  11. Are you sure they're 2"? I have a Fisher Hawk 3v that uses 1.77" posts with the spring in the bottom.
  12. Won't even touch a rod. I live on the lake. I let the idiots have it on holidays, I can fish after the weekend warriors go home.
  13. I fished a tourney once where my boater pulled 2 bags of rice out of his truck at the ramp with his fish finders in them. I had never seen that before but he said it worked.
  14. I tried it on a boat I had once and it did not work out too well. You can slow the motor down some but you'll get a bad hum when the voltage gets too low. Minn Kota made a product call a digital maximizer that does what you're looking for. It works by sending pulses of full current rather then a reduced voltage. They aren't made anymore but you can find old ones on eBay. They aren't cheap though.
  15. BPS Crankin Sticks are very good for the money.
  16. It's summer in the south there is always a chance of rain. Strap on a pair and go fishing.
  17. They were a 2 tone seat. I cannot find them on the site anymore so they may have sold out.
  18. I would try a 15p to take the top end down to around 5200 and give you more thrust. See if you can borrow one to try before you buy it though.
  19. I have a 22' Premier pontoon with a 75 Yamaha that runs 25. How many RPM are you turning at WOT?
  20. Here it's illegal to have a short fish in your live well. We do LM over 16" spots over 12".
  21. 3/4 oz red eye shad. Schools move around and I can launch that thing to wherever they go.
  22. Could be the temp sender on the starboard side head. You can test it with a continuity meter.
  23. Is the braid digging in on itself? When you pull on small braid it can dig in and cause problems on the next cast.
  24. I would go with a Yamaha. I have a F75 and SHO 250 and have never had an issue with either. Of the 3 you listed, I would go Mercury. I don't know enough about the new Suzuki to have an opinion and have have never heard anything good about Tohatsu.
  25. OMC has been out of business over 10 years. BRP makes Evinrude now.
