  1. I was at the classic, standing front row on the floor. On the megatron they showed some of his action through the day. Every one of his fish, to my amazement, was caught on the red-eye. He really does like Strike King products.
  2. It's really up to how much it matters to you. It would matter to me because I like everything that I'm fishing to be flawless, and missing an eye, while not really a big deal, would bother me. So what I would do would be.... Call the online store you bought it from. Say you have the reciept, or emial order conformation, or anything else proving you bought that lure. If that doesn't work then call Lucky Craft and explain to them what happened. After that, take Pa Anglers and glue on a replacement eye and hopefully it would match the other. Good luck
  3. I bought a few of them about a month ago. There sweet. I really like them. I throw them a mile on a 6'6" MH, but I use 20lb Big Game. The thing with the King Shad is that it swims like a crankbait/swimbait hybrid. It's head doesn't track straight like a swimbait, but it doesn't have the kicking wobble like a crankbait. IMO, it looks best when its slow rolled and then you twitch it. It completely rolls over sideways and then rights itself. It looks alot like a crippled, dying shad. If you have the right equipment, then get the King Kong. It's the King Shads big bro. It's another crank/swimbait hybrid but it swims more like a swimbait, but it can break a MH rod like a twig.
  4. Just wanted to make it clear that I dont drink.
  5. RH. when I broke my hand I had to use a left for 6 weeks. HELL Ice House or Bud Light ....has anyone ever tried redstripe before? there commercials always crack me up. Just wondering because I've never heard someone say..."mmmmmm just sippin on a redstripe, what are you up to?"
  6. Take both hooks off, and put a #1 Owner on the front.
  7. Laptop Who's meaner.... Chuck Norris or The baitmonkey?

    is this a joke?
  9. if you still have the reciept, then go exchange it at the store you bought it from. it works at bass pro.
  10. Dinks tip about 3 or 4 wraps is perfect. That is exactly how you tie on bucktail to jigs. It secures it and helps it to flare, but if you wrap it once, it twists.
  11. I really like the Gamakatsu EWG's but ever since Randall showed me the Owner Rig N' Hook its all I've used. Owners are more expensive, but there awesome hooks.
  12. get the new pro qaulifier spinning combo. it is awesome! the new mag spool technology is so sweet, and if you compare it to there older reels you will see a huge difference. plus, the pro qualifier is a top of the line rod.
  13. Lure - Shakey head, Senko, Split shot rig, Lipless Crankbaits Water - Im real good in the 5-10ft range, or that's where my comfort zone is. When the water is super clear but looks light green is when I'm most confident Angler - I'm definately a finesse fisherman. I may use big baits ocassionally, but my presentations always have a finesse twist.
  14. Doesn't Edwin Evers use the Pro Qaulifier rods exclusively?
  15. I would love to see Chris write an e-book on crankbait fishing
  16. I have never texas rigged a senko, but there are times when a senko on a 1/8oz spotsticker jighead is killer in deep brushpiles. It's not t-riggin, but its similar
  17. Avid, my mom just had to run out here and take a spoon to my toungue due to the seizure I got. You have a face???? When did this happen!!
  18. I did what CJ did. I dont think BR can publish these articles for profit because most of them belong to Honey Hole Magazine
  19. Zoom ultravibe and Bass pro finesse craw. Any watermelon color will do.
  20. Lubina, I will take the pro-qaulifier off your hands. The Pro-Qualifier is my favorite rod in the bass pro series, and is by far the best deal. The extremes are nice, but are to heavy. The bionic blade is ok but I hate the guides, and dont even get me started on the piece of junk we all call the johnny morris. When I worked at bps, there were bins full of snapped morris's in the warehouse. The graphite content in them is sooooooo high, that even a small ding against the side of your truck will snap it on your next hard hookset. There pieces of junk IMO, and everyday they had to replace them on the rack as they would snap like a twig from customers playin around with them. Now they Pro-Qaulifier rod is the BOMB!!!! That thing is super sensitive, failry prices, and is beautiful when the sun hits it. Great guides, nice reel seat, and great balance. I've had a few g-loomis's and I have a st. croix avid. The only BPS rod that can even begin to compare to them is the pro-qaulifier. Another great bass pro rod is the prolite finesse. It's so light and real sensitive. I use it for throwing my Eakins jigs.
  21. I agree with Muddy and Fish Chris. You both made some awesome points. For me it just boils down to everytime I look at that fish in my wall, I will know I killed it to look at it, and that it's body was wasted, when I could have gotten a replica. I think there's nothing wrong with keeping fish. I do it myself. But I just cant keep a fish if it's just for show. There was no better feeling in the world to me than when I was sitting there reviving my PB, and she just slowly slid out of my hands and swam away. There was not one ounce of me that regrets letting that fish go, even though the people around me wanted it mounted and even offered to pay for it.
  22. Dang, looks like an awesome day! Was that at Nunya?

Avid, I can kinda relate. Last year I had a Loomis 7ft Crankbait rod with a Pfleuger President drop over the side of the boat in about 20ft of water. I had many sleepless nights over that one. I also just lost my favorite spinnerbait combo a few months ago. I hooked a fish on a sammy, and kicked my spinning reel right off the deck of my boat that was at my feet.
  24. I like Okeechobee craw for my clear water jigs, and flippin blue for the stained to muddy water. I also throw the black/blue in the Sr. model when I throw the Buckeye Mop Jigs
