  1. The extremes break ALOT. Once you get into the Pro Qaulifier, Prolite finesse ( my fav. ), Clunns, and the Morris there real good.
  2. Ryan, dont get the 101. I was 5 minutes away from buying it at Bass Pro in Nov. against what everyone had said. Then, then the guy who was getting it for me told me not to get it. Trolling motors have no cooling system. When you think about how much heat is generated by the 101 then it makes sense that they burn up. I've heard it happened to alot of people, and Minnkota is withdrawing the 101 maxxum 3x from there lineup of transom mounts. I caught my 55 on fire last year from overheating. I pulled of the head and all the wires were melted together.
  3. I think it's an awesome idea, but like Earthworm said, there are alot of good ones out there. Isn't Fish for Free 1 & 2 about marketing?
  4. All sponsors see when they look at you is a large $100 bill. The goal of them sponsoring you is to get them more business. IMO, angling skill has nothing to do with it. Selling yourself has everything to do with it. If you cant throw anything but a zebco, but you can sell 1000 packs of GYCB senkos at a trade show, then your going to be sponsored over the guy who can put a jig in a thimble 20 yards away, but doesn't have marketing skills. If your hellbent on sponsors, concentrate your efforts on how to effectively sell yourself.
  5. Lol. Fluke, since your son manged to crawl up on a shelf and knock off a 10hp motor, I dont think leaving a syringe in a full bottle of 2-ton epoxy would be the best thing ;D
  6. Power Pro is braid
  7. Word. I will definately fish a spot that someone was just on. In most of the tournies I fish, I have one or two spots and I have certain techniques that I find work best on each one. Its almost as if the fish on the spot have there own personality and show that some tactics work better than others. So, good chances are the guy leaving my spot didn't do what I would do. I've also blanked on a spot and then have a guy take over the spot when I'm done and just slay em. Thats really frustrating
  8. There was a clearance bin at Sports Authority one time that had Super Spook Jrs. and pop n'/spit n' images for 97 cents. I bought soooo many of those things.
  9. You can really convert any boat into a electric only boat. If you buy a tracker or any kind of bass style boat, I would sugegst ripping all the decking out and just have the shell and internal structures like benches, aluminum decking frame, rod locker, livewell, etc. Just make sure all wood and carpet is gone. Usually old wood is waterlogged and it can add a tremendous ammount of weight. Once you have a stripped shell, then make a decking plan. What do you want? Extended front deck, large back deck, even across the entire top, storage, etc. For the bracing of the deck use a combination of aluminum stripping and 2 x2's or 2 x4's. The aluminum is alot lighter than wood. After your deck is built, then you should think about motors. Usually a 12v 46-55 bow mount is good for a electric only. A 65 is good to just because it lasts longer becasue it requires 2 batteries. For the back motors I would go with 2 82's or a 101. These have the power to move a heavy boat at a decent speed. The 24v and 36v are also alot better on battery. You also should check out weight placement. On some trackers, if you put more weight in the front of the boat it goes faster.
  10. I was just reading a list of uses for wd-40, and #39 was that it is a fish attractant. It said one of the base ingrediants is fish oil? Is that true?
  11. Every smallmouth I have caught has been out of the Susq. It's an awesome fishery with numbers of decent sized smallies
  12. The 3x trick worm is the only "floating" worm that I have seen that truly floats. It will float with a 5/0 superline EWG in it.
  13. Lol. Ditto
  14. I have the exact problem. I already pm'ed Roadwarrior asking if I was using them wrong. I've probably missed 15 fish on them in the last 2 trips. They bite em, I just can't hit em. I've set it instantly, waited awhile, slack line, tight line, everything, and still only hooked one fish. I'm using it on a 3/0 and 4/0 gammy. I have no idea
  15. Like natural said, Reel Magic is pure silicone. It has a tendency to gunk up reels over time. I only use KVD's line and lure conditioner now. I spray it on EVERYTHING. line, lures, boxes, tackle bag, reel, boat compartments. That stuff is awesome. If you spray it on your reels, give it a few minutes to dry, and cast, it will amaze you at how much distance it adds. Also, when re-stringing, I spray some on a paper towel and pinch it over the line as I'm reeling in. This coats your line and makes it repel water and uv rays. That means old mono wont sink. KVD's L & L is awesome and I would recommend it to anyone. Reel Magic on the other hand is crap.
  16. Well that pretty much takes care of any doubters
  17. That really sucks Panamoka. But, could it be because you are a Yankees fan? ;D Hope it gets fixed fast and the damage is minimal

I used to throw Zoom Finesse worms exclusively, but now its all Robo's and Spotsticker Hand Pours For hooks I like the Gammy dropshot/splitshot in 1/0 And for weight, it has to be tungsten. Favorite weight is 1/4oz Line is a huge deal for me to. Lately I have been using Sunline FC Sniper and I love it.

For 1/8oz I always have R.I. Screwed up jighead, Spot Stalker jighead, and Spotstickers And for 1/4oz I only throw the Buckeye lures Spot Remover
  20. I never go to a lake without Watermelon/gold flake. It has produced consistently since the day I tried it. Black, Red Bug, and Castaic Choice are my other main colors
  21. I have a few of the new Fork models, and there 4 1/2" I've been using a 3/0 Owner Rig n' hook and it works fine. Only problem with them is they come pre-rigged on a jighead, so when you switch it with a wide gap you have a big hole in the nose of the bait. Super glue solves this but the nose rips up easy.
  22. Definately grass, but stumps in deep water are awesome to.
  23. The paca craw is a pretty neat bait. I use the chunk anytime I'm fishing a jig, but I've used the craw a little bit. The thing I like about them is how bouyent the claws are, so they arch up like a real craw, but I also like how they flap when you pull them through the water.
  24. The only 3x baits I use are the Zulu and Trick worm. The Zulu is great when the fish want a fast retrieve when there sitting higher in the water column, and the trick worm whoops tail when you put it on a jighead and the fish are real active. The tail sits straight up and every twitch makes it dart everywhere. Like Hawgin, I've had some problems with the hook not going through the plastic. I basically tex-pose it with the trick worm and have an exposed t-rig with the Zulu.
