  1. Went to Pawtuckeway lake yesterday afternoon. Water level is way down at least 3 feet. Dificult to launch but can be done. Have to pick up the trolling motor to get out through the chanel. Lots of new unmarked rocks and hazards under the surface. Water temps are main lake 46 shallows 52. very windy . Results where no bites. Got to see a lot of the structure oof the banks. Wish I had a camera with me.
  2. The best fishing is where ever you are catching them at the moment.
  3. I had broken skeg of my 70 HP merc about 13 years ago. Never got to use or fish the 88 tracker much so I still have the motor/ boat and use it. I had a replacement welded on for about $150 at the time. The repair was made with out pulling the lower unit. Well not long after mayby 2 years latter I let my teenage son and his budy use the boat while on a camping trip in Maine. They went out and came back with a broken skeg again. So now it is still broke but it works ok after filling and straightening what was left. So i chock that up as a lesson learned. Not pretty looking but it woerks ok the way it is.
  4. I would not say they are full. Why not post on here the name of the clubs and ask for contact information or a club member to contact you.
  5. With the warmer temps this week I pulled my tracker out to prepare for some fishing. So are there any lakes and ponds without ice ? I am particulary interested in Kingston lake and Pawtuckaway Lake. Thanks everyone Steve
  6. HI from Amesbury, Ma and welcome. I am retired also and fish a lone out of a 17' bass tracker . I have the launching/retriving down pretty good. Fish southern NH. exclusively actually Patuckaway Lake and Kingston Lake before memorial day before it gets crowded. Limited fnances and fuel costs slow my fishing down.
  7. Personaly I do not think it is worth bucking the law and looking over your shoulder. Get the lead free stuff and enjoy your time on the water while you can. Life is to short.
  8. Thanks Traveler and Dwight that is the question I was going to ask and the answer.
  9. I was called to the supper table about have way through the weigh In so I did not see the end,. So who won ???
  10. Great article Glen . thanks
  11. Bass Univeristy last week had a show on the skirted scrounger . looked very interesting. Nice action.
  12. I have not used the shrink tubing yet for wacky worming. But I know you can get a small package of different sizes at Home Depot or a good hardware store to try for your self.
  13. Nice video !! Thanks Glen
  14. Where can I buy those boxes? What brand are they?
  15. Try an internet search for maine bass federation. Should be alist of clubs there.
  16. I have not been there myself. But have heard the fishing is pretty good.
  17. I am using a mixture of stabill and seafoam in my merc outboard with good results. In fact any time I go buy gas for any small engines I use this mixture. I also add seafoam to my vechicle tanks periodically. perfomamnce and drivability is improved dramatically. steve
  18. Yes I would replace both plugs.
  19. Wash them in liquid dishwashing soap firest. Then Bake them in a 400 degree oven on a cookie sheet. The oil wil burn off. A little smelly .
  20. Diawa Peanut in chatruse blue.
  21. I assume you are talking about a portable gas tank. I would pull out the fuel gauge/ fuel pick up unit from the tank and check to see if the fuel pick up line fell off. The clamp may have loosened and the line fell off.
  22. I would try adding Seafoam to your gas for a few tanks of gas before any mechanical work is started. This seams to be helping the hard starting and idle problems on my 70 hp merc 1988 model .
