its was my dream for many years to become a pro-bass fisherman. but honestly i think alot of it now inst bout fishing any more. its more about images and such. i mean it really disappoints me. i still love tourney fishin, but i dont think if you have the finances or the backing its gonna be very hard. i mean i work full time, and there's no way i regular employer would let you off to fish every single tourney. and that's what you need to do to get that end of year weight and standings. its a really hard thing to do and you are doing it right now you should feel really blessed. good luck and see ya out on the water.

haha i wished i was closer to those lakes. maybe if get a new jon boat or get my javelin fixed , i might make a couple of trips down to those great lakes.

thats a nice boat micro, see fellas i have a 20 ft bass boat, but its been sitting since my father passed. iam going to bring it home soon and try to fix it up. but my little truck barely pulls. yea i do want one of those tracker boats but my funds arent really allowing me do get one. maybe if i find for a steal i might have to go get me a loan for one. iam just worried bout getting a jon boat cause we had a john boat before and i took it for its maiden voyage and the weight balence was completely off, i was in the back and the front was almost sticking straight up. thanks for the advice felllas.

does hefner have some good crappie docks ? iam from chickasha and currently our local lakes arent doing very good. my boat is out of commision right now so all i can think about is a good crappie dock ;D

I like fishing in groups its alot more funner. but when i trying to learn how to fish a new bait or a new pattern, i prefer to go alone. my buds don't have a whole lot of patience. i rember when i tried learning how to jig fish real good, i had to force my self to go to the lake by myself with nothing but my rod and jig box haha.

hey rick do ya have a deck built ? post some pics of your boat if you can and i want to follow the weight req. i do want to be safe.

Ive been looking into getting a jon boat and adding a lower deck, but the thing is iam a really hefty dude close to 330 pounds and my fishing partner is about 250. would a jon boat be an ok fishing boat for us ? evan after adding all our gear and a small deck ? . i do want a little stability also. another thing to consider is my truck is an s10 with a 2.2 v4 it cant pull my bass boat. any advice would be helpful fellas.

Hello my name is Brian. ive been really impressed with these boards so far, i decided i would join up. ive been fishing since i can remeber. its my passion in life. bass fishing is what me and my father loved doing. i mean we breathed it lol. but see he died back in 2006, but one of the last things he asked me was to promise him that i would never quit fishing and hunting. i went fishing a couple of times, but ere time i would go i would get heart broken. til one day about 2 weeks ago i finally went and got hooked again. ha ha. fishing has giving me the best memories i have ever had, from tourney fishing in a old ski boat that me and dad made into a bass boat. a couple of months before he died we bought a 1994 javelin 20ft bass boat with 150 johnson. when he died i didnt know how i was going to be able to pay for the boat because i take care of my deaf mother too, but then i found out my dad put insurance on it for me, and it paid it off for me and plus it got me a check for ere thing i already paid for the boat. so basically i got me a free boat. i believe it was my dads gift he left me. the boats been sitting for 3 years so iam looking foward to giving it some much needed tlc. sorry about rambling on but i thought that this is a really cool story to share with you good folks. i look forward in talking with ya. see ya on the water.
