  1. Found a bad of these at home. ANybod heard or used them? Look to be some type of wacky worm maybe????
  2. G3, Xpress are sweet, but I think the Bass Tracker is the most boat for the money. Only thing is they seem soooo underpowered. for the casual fishing though this would be my choice due to what I need it for and the price.
  3. Nitro 901. The 9 series is where Nitro started a comeback from poor quality. they got it right with the platform and fishability of the 9 series boats. thing is like a freighter. and only 19ft. fishes like a 20fter. Kind of a slow turd though
  4. Not messin with ya. I fish it weightless like a soft jerkbait. Really fun because you can see it and watch fish eat it.
  5. Do a google search for Zoom Trick Worm.
  6. Rapala makes fine cranks. As far as not consistently hitting 20 feet, there are not many that do. DD22 will only reach about 17 with the right conditions. I fish DD22 mainly, but that is because they are quite a bit cheaper
  7. Zoom Trick worms are considered a "floating" worm. they may not be 100% buoyant, but they do float to a degree. This helps them stand tail up when on a shakey head. As far as how to fish the 10" worm, I do both, hop it back and also drag it. Try both and let the fish tell you which one to do.
  8. BIIIIG Plastics. Mainly a 10" Powerworm, or Zoom Ol Monster. Don't need anything else. 8-)
  9. I use 8lb flouro with a trilene knot and retie, retie, retie. Remember with most finesse tactics you don't have to cross their eyes on a hookset. It is not like a jig. I use kind of a wrist snap and sweep. I also be sure to set my drag so I have enough to set the hook, but it will give a little after set.
  10. 10" worm - texas rig, carolina rig, MH casting rod, 14-20 lb flouro (what I use) trick worm (one of my faves) - weightless like a jerkbait, weightless wacky, the one I use most is on a shakey head. Floats so tail stands up. 8lb flouro 7ft Med. spinning outfit. (what I use)
  11. I saw it online. Maybe it is just on their website.
  12. Bass Pro has one for sale right now for $18 and some change.
  13. size of fish has to do with the carrying capacity of the pond (fish population). Every pond has a total weight of fish it can carry. The fewer bass that are in there, the bigger they can get. forage is also a determining factor. there must be food for the bass. Some great pond management information on Missouri's Conservation department website and Nebraska has a pond management book they will send for free too. I have a 1/2 acre pond and use this material often
  14. You can;t see beds on sonar. You need a good pair of polarized sunglasses and just visually see them. they look like light circular spots on the bottom. Usually about a foot or 2 wide. Many times if you find one, you will see a fish sitting right on top of it. In dirty water you will only see the ones really shallow.
  15. You won't find them under $20 unless they are for sale. BPS is having a sale on them right now for $16 and some change. I would recommend looking into the Spro 4"er too. Bigger profile.
  16. That sounds familiar. ;D I am from MN also. born and raised near Rochester. My wife if from ST. Louis. Got fed up with winter so we moved to MO. some great bass lakes here.
  17. Actually, they do quite well with smaller HP motors. They really shine with underpowered rigs. I think you will see improvement with a foil
  18. "I really hate going home, thinkin that we couldav done better." Sounds about right. Looks like you are on the right track. Maybe we should partner up.
  19. foils do work to help get on plane faster and they also allow you to stay on pad at slower speeds without porpoising. Many people say they are a band aid fix for improper setup. They have no effect on top end performance because they are out of the water ant WOT. I really don;t think there is a negative side to them except for having to drill into the cav plate.
  20. Hey guys. Looks like a pretty sweet Site. Can;t wait to start looking around a bit more.
