  1. Should I try fishing just the deeper spots? I usually stay with the more shallow spots in this pond.
  2. It hasn't rained around here for over 2 weeks and the water level in the main pond I fish is down a lot. Its a very small pond and I can almost see the bottom in some places. I haven't had any luck at all recently at this pond and I am curious if there is something I should do differently. Thanks
  3. I have a few jigs with some Zoom trailers for them. Would I be able to use them in a pond that doesn't have any cover? If not where would I use them?
  4. I own a Bass Pro Tourney Edition rod and my dad has a Quantum Tour Edition rod. Both rods are 6'6" and Medium Heavy action. My dad is willing to trade with me if I want to since I fish more. I was wanting to put a Shimano Citica 200d that I just bought on whichever rod I use. What do you think would be the best fit for this reel and which rod is better?
  5. I think that putting structure in isn't an option, although that was a good idea. There is this one spot on a corner that we frequently get hung up on. We don't know what it is though. Would this be the best spot to fish around and what baits would be good to throw at it?
  6. The water is stained and I have thrown mainly white and chartruse skirts with willow leaf blades. I have a Daiwa Megaforce reel with a 6'6'' Bass Pro Tourney Special Medium Heavy rod.
  7. I have been fishing a lot for the last few months and I still haven't caught one fish on a spinnerbait. I see people talking about how good they are and how easy it is but I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I can catch fish all the time on soft plastics but not spinnerbaits. Which are your favorite spinnerbaits? Ex. Booyah, Strike King....and which colors?
  8. The only structure in the whole pond in a fountain in the middle. No streams or anything run into the pond. How would I aggravate a fish into biting my lure?
  9. I have been fishing this one pond for a while that is about the size of a football field, just a plain rectangle pond. I have caught a 4lb bass and my friend caught a 6lb bass a while ago but I have been told that there are 10lb+ bass in there. We haven't caught many decent bass in the last few weeks and I was wondering how to find the big ones and how to catch them. Tips? Oh yeah it's my friend's pond so we are the main people that fish there.
  10. Thanks for the replies
  11. On some of the bigger bass I have caught and seen caught, there would be blood on the tail of the bass. What is this from?
  12. That was good of you to let him catch it. Nice Fish and good luck to your brother
  13. I haven't really used anything but soft plastics. What would be good baits to use?
  14. I really like the Zoom Watermelon Red Baby Brush Hogs or just Brush Hogs.
  15. Hey, I was fishing this new pond today that is fairly large compared to what I'm used to. It has a lot of little clumps of lilly pads and a few logs out in the middle. I would always fish around these, but no luck at all. I was sure that this was where the bass would be but I didn't catch any. The other ponds I have been to haven't had lilly pads so I don't really know anything about them. Is there a different bait or different way to fish around them? Thanks
  16. Hey, I am bidding on a Bass Pro Qualifier Extreme ETX10HD and a Browning Aggressor 6.3:1 10BB. I am at about $31 on the Browning and about $21 on the Qualifier. I was curious how high I should bid on the reels since I wasn't able to find much information about either one. Thanks
  17. Haha I will definitely do that! Thanks
  18. You wouldn't believe what I would do to get a football autographed not only by Les Miles but Billy Cannon! Wow...Congrats
  19. Thanks everyone for the answers and suggestions but one question...how should I have the senko rigged when I try this technique?
  20. I like the Fire & Ice worms from Culprit and also the Watermelon Red Brush Hogs from Zoom....Would Senko worms be good for a small pond? I'm thinking that they may be too big because I don't think there are any bass over 2 pounds in the pond.
  21. Hey, I have been using Zoom plastics for the last few months that I have started fishing a lot. I hear and see people talking about Senko worms but I have never used them. What is the difference between them and what would be the advantages of using a Senko instead of a Zoom?
