I am considering getting 2 Apps for my iPhone. The first would be a hunting/fishing lunar table app and the other would be a fishing journal app that would allow me to log in the fish weight/length, the conditions, take a pic, and plot it on the GPS and keep a running tab of info. What I'm wondering if anyone has used any of the iPhone Apps available and does anyone have any recommendations or feedback? Thanks all!

Its official.....Hunting Run is open! I fished it Sunday. The water is still really cold and locating the fish was extremely hard(good electronics should help). I did manage to land a really decent 20" 4# LMB by slow rolling a 3/4oz White/Chart Dbl Willow spinnerbait deep. Cannot wait till the water warms up a bit and the fish get feeding.

Hunting Run is my favorite spot so far and have been itching to get back out there. Wayne P., do you have the # for the Marina house? I would like to give them a call on Saturday to confirm that they are open, if so I am going to make a trip out there Sunday morning.

I was out there today and it was a bit tough! I caught 2 fish only. One 5 pounds and 21 inches, and a 16 inch 2 pounder. Caught both fish on the far side of the old d**n that's in view of the park launch. I found schools of shad, and bass pushing/popping them up to the surface. Caught both fish on Rage Tail Pearl Shad. You can see the old dam in the background of the second pic. Not sure about the tournaments, I would like know more. I know for sure there are members here that fish them. Hopefully some of them can shed a bit of light.

I'd meet up with ya but I have to take my daughter to school at 9a.m. and I wouldn;t make it down to Woodbridge till about 9-45 or 10 ish. Good Luck though!

I hate the smell of that stuff ever since I was in boot camp and my drill instructors used to get in our faces with that nasty crap in their mouths and they would get to yelling and those pieces of dip would come flying out right in the face! > I'd rather dip my bait in poop

I'll take a swing at it. I will assume that you were fishing the Senko weightless or wacky. The fish might have preferred that slow fall and shake opposed to the dart down of the t-rigged SM. That might have been it. If that is the case rig the the SM on a 1/8oz or lighter keel weighted EWG hook, or weightless and cast it out to the same spots and let it sink on a slack line.

It'll depend on water clarity for me. Dark, muddy waters...I go with Black/ blue flake or june bug, cause they hold a better silhouette. Clearer waters I like Double header, or watermelon Red flake. Okeechobee Craw is another good color for either situation.

Yeah I'm in for sure and I might have 2 more with me, let me know what the plans are as soon as you know, boat or wade so I can plan things out for everyone on my end. I'm going to assume that boats on the lake would be the way we are gonna go due to all the rain, and I doubt the rivers will be wadable by then. Should be fun either way! Let hope that the weather cooperates!

To the OP... its no surprise to me! The Space Monkey has been a top producer for me this year on some extremely tough and highly pressured waters. I'm right in there with Micro on the Space Monkey. If you haven't fished it, your missing out on a phenomenal fish catcher. Its so versatile its ridiculous! Swim it, buzz it, wake it, hop it on the bottom, dead stick it, jig trailer, t-rig, and c-rig, and I'm probably missing a few ways to present this bait. Can anyone name another bait that can do all that and effectively catch fish in each category? The price may be a little more than some soft plastics but your getting a quality bait that is packaged well so that it will not get deformed and your basically getting 4-5 baits in one. All said and done I think the Space Monkey is worth a decent shot in anyone's bag. The space monkey with still be fishable and catch fish with only one leg left on it! I might sound biased, but I have only fished a hand full of baits/lures that work on such a consistent basis so when I have full confidence in a bait I will not have reservations about praising it.
