  1. Are the Champion rods black down the blank except for the silver part where the logo is? If they are is it the graphite-look or is it glossy?
  2. Once again. That reel is amazing. How much would it cost to get a drag/bearing upgrade? But seriously. That thing is just plain sexy.
  3. Thank you sir! I think it would be sweet if I got a Champion 704c, then got a Citica painted to match it by Calfish over at TT. If I got some of the parts anodized blue, that would be sexy. Plus, I could get bearing/drag/handle upgrades. Thanks for the pics!
  4. Speechless.
  5. I'm getting a Curado. No doubt about that. I wonder how it would look on an Extreme? Nah, I can't even begin to think that way... ;D ;D ;D I have new Curado E7's on about 6 or 7 Extreme rods, they look pretty nice. I'd go with the Dobyns and Curado, if you can't afford it, then maybe grab a Champion 704 or 734 instead and get the Curado. That would work too. But if you really want the top of the line, get that rod and get a Citica. I just prefer high speed reels. You can get Curados for $145ish on Ebay. I thought about that too. I have many options right now lol. Curado/Extreme, Citica/Extreme, or I could get a Champion and a Citica and get the Citica tricked out. Lots of options right now! If you get the chance to snap a picture of a Curado/Extreme combo and post it, that would be sweet.
  6. I'm getting a Curado. No doubt about that. I wonder how it would look on an Extreme? Nah, I can't even begin to think that way... ;D ;D ;D It would look great on a DX704c, and there's no way you would ever say, "Man, I wish I got the Champion instead of the Extreme." From what I've heard Extremes feel like Jesus hand-built the rod for you. ;D ;D
  7. Well, here's what I figured. Curado- $180 + Mossyback- $245 = $425. That's if I payed full price. Curado-$130 + Dobyns DX 704C- $300 = $430. That's if I get the Curado lightly used. I might even be able to find an Extreme for cheaper. So, I'll probably get the Extreme. I hope. ;D

  9. Gahhh. I like the "classic" look of the Loomis. Plus I'm set on a Curado, which would look b-e-a-utiful on the Mossyback, especially with green braid. I constantly have to remind myself to worry more about performance than looks, LOL.
  10. Kinda cool that three kids under 18 are in the same post. Hahaha
  11. Out of these two rods, which would you take for fishing Rage Tail Craws and 7" Thumpers with 1/4 oz. tungsten weights? This will be my first $200+ rod. Reel will be spooled with 50/12 PowerPro (of course). Loomis Mossyback BCR854 or Dobyns Champion 704c As for the reel, a Curado 200e7 if I get the Loomis, or a Citica 200e for the Dobyns. I've also considered Falcon Cara T7s. Please feel free to suggest other rods in the $200-$250 range! Thanks guys.
  12. That's awesome dude. I would pay $100 to do that.
  13. I've heard Powell rods are a bit light for their ratings. I would get a MH instead.
  14. That's a sweet picture! I have a ton of pictures of my pup haha.
  15. That's badass dude. Fat-G came from my Golden Retriever, properly named "Ginger" (cough Burley cough) who passed last May. She was, in fact, fat. Fat + Ginger - inger= Fat-G
  16. It's not needed. I've only used one once, and it was for no other reason than I wanted to see if I tied the knot correctly. Otherwise I never use one. If you were going to, P-Line CXX is really, really good. This girl didn't mind it....
  17. LOL, young 'un you don't know the first thing about Sheetz. You're in the new territory. I have eaten at Sheetz #1. ;D The only thing I know about it is that it's awesome. Haha I seriously love that place. The cheese fries are so good.
  18. Billy Nicar or Mike Ostrander. I do this very often. ;D
  19. Nice fish. It's not. Holding them by the stomach helps to relax them.
  20. A massive Slurpie from Sheetz. MASSIVE
  21. Same. For such a stiff rod, it's extremely versitile. I throw swimbaits, frogs, jigs, plastics, and other stuff with it. I also flip with it. Great rod, especially with a Daiwa on it
