That is the first thing I pickup if they aren't biting on top.

I am 24 years old and just recently purchased my first bass boat. I would have paid cash, but the finance rates are so low right now it just made sense to finance. I could not be happier with my boat purchase because it fit within our budget without having to give up our everyday necessities.. I would recommend getting some quotes on rates and make sure there is no penelty for paying your loan off early, and just do that if you have a month where you have a little more coming in.

I always throw the baby when pitching/flipping. Both small and large bass love it.

I always start on top and move down the water column. Show them a different presentation if they aren't biting the "typical" topwater baits with a zoom. Keep the bait on top by retrieving it quickly and erratically.

You honestly believe it was the bait? The difference between the two are minscule to us, let alone the bass. I would think you just took out the runts in that area...I have tried both and would have confidence throwing both, but the Zoom is a classic and has always produced fish for me whether they are small or large, and the price difference helps in my decision as well.

I generally fish weed edges and points with a 10" tequilla sunrise worm at night with some success.

finished right in the middle of the field....we drew the last boat to launch and so that spot was all filled up...top three finishers were on that spot.

Overall it has been a tough year...I have had a few of the best days of my life, but then turn around and get skunked (like I did on Saturday). I just didnt expect it to be this inconsistant. How about you?
