  1. thanks for those videos that helped alot. whenever it cools down this evening i'll go out there again. my dad told me that at the hiwassee river in tn the have a trophy trout section and we go to the ocoee often so i'll be able to practice there some

  3. just turned 16 today and i got a fly fishin rod..i've never done fly fishin and know almost nothing about it but i am defintely up to learnin. it's a 9 ft martin.mountain rook. my grandpa said it was a very nice rod and reel and i take his word for it..any beginner fly fishin tips would be helpful too.thanks

  5. i was down at my cousins in alabama for a week and did some pretty good fishin. caught 11 bass 3 of them 4-5 pounds and the other over 2 pounds. and a few brim. had a great fish fry.haha
  6. they were there but they were hard to find. i mostly fished woth shrimp it worked pretty good it fits the hook perfectly and it stays on
  7. they were both little sand sharks..one about 2 and a half feet and one about 2 feet. the guy beside me on the same mornin had a 4 footer he had to cut the line whenever it got in the surf.
  8. i'm a little late but i caught a flounder and 2 sharks while i was down there

  10. thanks for the explanation that cleared things up. Everything should be there and if not there is bass pro shops 5 miles away ;D also aside from rigging i'm guessing that morning is the best time to fish on the surf?

  12. probally cut bait but i may get some live and the surf is supposed to be 1-2 ft maximum 3 feet. thanks for the help
  13. I'm goin down to Myrtle Beach for a week tomorrow and my uncle has a new surf rod.. He won't be there and it is my first time ever going so i have no idea what to do.he said he has all the equipment i need but it hasn't been rigged yet and i need to do that..i have no idea how to rig a surf rod so any help at all would be appreciated.
  14. thanks that gives me a good look on what to get. that's the best part of our pond it's about 100 yards from our house and it's also a recreational pond so it's about as clean as you get.
  15. we don't have a bass pro shops anywhere near us in nc so when we go to the beach i always get a list of baits and lures to get. we just built a pond last year and stocked it with smallmouth, brim, catfish, and carp. I also go fishin out on the lake with my friends alot too. what are your suggestions on what to get there?

  18. well i've always fished with cheap wal mart fishin rods but we got a new pond and my friend has a bass boat now. so what do you think is the best rod and reel? and i'm only in highschool so money isn't on my side.haha thanks for help
