Looking for information on cork
I'm looking for the cork wrapping that is used on saltwater jig sticks like seeker or Dan Hernandez to name two. I don't know if its a tape or if its the actual handle any help would be greatly appreciated. Examples below of what I'm looking for.

new rod/reel input
question one its never to early to start using a baitcaster i started with one when i was in the 5th grade and was fluid with it by the sixth grade. like the posts above they take practice i would recommend getting a big weight like half ounce or an ounce and go to a big open field just cast the crap out of it till you get the holding your thumb down thing mastered. question 2 all i usually fish is shore fishing and i seem to produce average numbers. nothing like if i was in a boat but still good numbers. with a bait caster you will be able to reach farther and get in better tighter places as your skill with them gets more developed.

Reel in water, any harm?
if it was salt water i would rinse it thoroughly with your hose. If in fresh water no harm no foul i sometime dip my baitcaster in water when im fishing if my line is dry and starting to chew my thumb up. If you are worried just take some reel magic to it or what ever lube you use

SPIKE IT
Has anyone else had good luck with the Spike It Marker Garlic sent? Since ive started using the marker ive had more bites on soft plastics then i did w/o it. i usually use it on my T-RIG 6"morning dawn Chartreuse tip. I usually color the back quarter with it all the way around. My pic from the how do you dress when you go fishing is one ive caught from this setup.
