i have found this worm works in Virginia and here in SoCal to consistently catch fish year round. just a side note.

i am the biggest Daiwa homer on this forum and im not sure about this reel. we spooled the reel at BPS and took turns messing around. after we were done my impression of the reel is: this one was packed full of grease or theyre just not very smooth. id love to handle one thats been cleaned and correctly lubed. as far as what the OP is looking for the only thing that comes to mind is a Curado E7. x2 x3

well as mentioned above i have a pflueger summit retail at the time was round 170 to 249 i cant remember. i think i will be using my Curado a lot more than that Pflueger. My pops has the quantum accurist pt he bought a shimano over the quantum so yah ide go with a curado 8-)

will some one get these darn monkeys off my back. So i went to sports authority today cause i had a 25 buck cash card. and i left with a ugly stick and couple packs of worms and new swim bait. do they have a cure for these darn things???

well us "Wrong siders" like to use the right handed reels but if my memory serves me right if you were left handed you were wrong back in the day. ;D

I love the rod. Our very own EJTaylor made it for me. Great Price and Quality work. It is long since a virgin but nothing worth bragging yet. Ive landed many of pelican and seagulls throwing surface irons. Least we now know where the term bird brain comes from. ;D ;D ;D

So when my Pflueger first went down i was bummed. So to boost my spirits I went and bought a nice place holder and here are the pics.

Does anyone know of a professional that can fix this d**n thing. I have an empty pole and if it doesn't get fixed soon I am afraid I will end up with another Shimano Curado. I already filled one pole last week. I don't think the Misses will like that too much. :-/

anyone know if reel mech still wanders these boards/ does work on Pflueger ?

So the other day i took my custom setup consisting of a Weavercraft rod and a Pflueger Summit. First cast throwing a Space Monkey, beautiful placement right along some awesome reeds. I start to retrieve the lure and that is when it happens. The bar that the level wind glides across pops out of the inside wall of the reel and recesses in to the gear box side. I have no idea what happened or how. All i did was turn the handle felt normal and then wham it felt like i was grinding gears. I about cried. The reel is about 2 to 3 years old. ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED PLEASE. pics show the rod that came out before and after it came out.
