I'm going to buy a new reel soon and i've narrowed it down to the abu garcia premier and the skeet reese revo reels.. Which is better and what are some of the advantages?

I'm looking into investing in a g-loomis jig and worm rod. I'm thinking that I should go with a 7 foot rod. I'm not exactly sure if i should get a fast action or an extra fast action. What advantage will fast or extra fast offer?

we tried jigs but i think we only had one good bite. The fishing really seems to be in a slump right now. I fished for 5 hours yesterday at a lake & only caught one fish

Yesterday I went to Patoka Lake which is in southern Indiana. We fished for 4 straight hours and didnt get a single fish a few hit but that about it. A cold front came through the night before & it was very overcast the next day. I tried crankbaits with various depths. But that didnt work. What works best with cold fronts?

yeah ive seen this too in a lot of lakes i fish in. When i see them they are usually blue gill or bass. I throw a gary yamamoto double skirted grub to catch them. It always seems to work.

Well around here in western Kentucky where i live they do alot of mining and drilling. I fish mostly where they gotten pure clay out of the ground and have dug 30 to 40 feet holes to do so. They eventually fill up with water. There not way to get a bass boat to these pit so im not sure how much structure is in these. I usually use a john boat to fish out of these lakes. These lake are great to fish.

Lately Ive been going to a few strip pit lakes that have trees in the middle of the lake. Im positive that there are fish laying around these trees. I want something that will pull these bass out from hiding. Any ideas?
