We are planning trip to the Brainard area. We will be staying at a resort at Long Lake starting the 13th of June. Would like to take side trips to some good largemouth lakes in the area. Any help pointing us in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I'm new to Illinois, live close to a lot of the 25 h.p. lakes. I called DNR and asked what the policy is about running a motor over 25 h.p. You can use the big motor for loading and unloading only. your motor,over 25 h.p. can't be in the water. If caught you will be given a ticket. I guess i will be buying a 25 h.p. 4 stroke mercury.

live bait is cheatin....and kills too many bass from gut hooks. but works good for grannys and little kids. i would hate to think that i killed an 8#bass from a gut hook. just to be able to go online and brag. how about trammel nets?
