  1. well id say rye patch is your best best theres some good fish in there if your going reno way there isnt much i love fishing im from reno and there just isnt much bass around
  2. thanks for all the responses actually a white cat is a type of bullhead known also as a white bullead it grows bigger than your average bullhead but smaller than channels heres a pircture of its belly which is pretty characteristic of a white very rounded and very white

  5. heres a pic of a big white cat i caught last month nevada fish and game says its a channel but it doesnt look like any channel ive ever caught give me your opinions i counted the rays which matches a white cat but anyways what do you think it weighed 9 pounds one ounce and is the biggest white cat caught in nevada this year.   7. alright yeah you can fish rye patch and the humboldt rye patch is not really a trout lake it has mostly walleye and some wipers there is catfish some bass and from what i hear very little trout now the humboldt has catfish and some bass too these are your two spots figure them out im sure you'll catch some nice ones

Alright well ive lived in reno my whole life and ive figured out there aint much bass here and they dont grow very big a five pounder is definately a wall hanger for nevada your best chance is at mason valley ponds where there are five pounders there are very few largemouths in lahotan although i did catch a 15 inch smallmouth there earlier this year but dont get your hopes down you'll catch some also learn to trout fish there is plenty of them around i woul reccomend a golf course where i fish but its kinda my secret sorry but look around you'll catch some just be patient
  9. i fish the golf course all the time lol but i would love to fish this power plant cooling pond i know there are lunkers in there
  10. i aggree anything over four is a big fish but where i live in nevada over 5 is a monster the bass dont grow to much aronund here i caught a six pounder over the fourth it was a huge bass for around here it was awesome

Thank you i caught a twenty inch bass in a small pond up in the mountains bass dont grow much bigger than five pounds here so the bass was a little over twenty inches long and had a seventeen inch girth i think since it was spaanother siteng and stuff that it was around 5.5 to 6 pounds does that sound about right for the length and girth i used a wieght calculator and it said six i want your opinions though thanks for the help
