Evaluate my trade
Yes I have checked craigs list. There are some but there is a small problem. See, I have to do a trade. The reason I dont have any need for it anymore is because I purchased a new Springfield 9mm XD, but didnt get permission from management first aka the wife. LOL. She says that I cant spend any money on a boat. So in order for me to get a boat I had to find someone willing to trade. This guy was was willing to trade. He does not fish, and would rather have the gun. I would prefer to have a boat since I dont need the .38

Evaluate my trade
What do you think about this trade that I am about to make. I'm trading a new in the box Rossi 38 special w/ 75 rds of ammo and a holster. I have about $400 invested. I have no need for it b/c I bought something new. I'm getting a game fisher Jon boat he thinks it 8 feet, and a trolling motor. He says the Jon Boat is in good shape, the only thing is that the plywood on the transom needs replaced. He did not know what kind of trolling motor it was. He said that he inherited the set up when his grandmother passed away, and said it's only like 4 years old. But has not been used in 3. It's been under his deck for 3 years. Said the motor ran fine when he stored in his garage, but has not run it since. Question, is there any reason to believe that the motor need repair if it's been stored as he said. Any thing I should be concerned about. Is this a good trade. Thanks

lake anna hotside in march
My frinds parents live on the warm side. I know he's got a 12lb + hanging on the wall that he caught on the warm side. They are there, just got to find them. He caught his in about 25 feet of water in one of the undeveloped coves, on a 12 inch bublegum plastic worm.

spinner/buzzbait trailers.........
I've been slaying them on the same black buzz bait all summer. I dont use a trailer, or a trailer hook. I tie it on about 7:15 and fish till dark w/ it. Very the retrieves, and find out how the fish want it. I start by burning it accross the water. If that doesnt work, I use a slow retrieve, just enough to keep it on top of the water. If that doesnt work, I bring it back and slow the retrieve just enought to let it sink slightly below the water and then speed up enough bring it back up, and do that all the way back. Stick with it. I caught every thing from a 1/2 lb to 8 lb doing this.

Need some suggestions for a big trip
Since your in Richmond you should check out Clore brothers in fredricksburg. Maybe not for this big trip but another time. Me and some buddies have done it each year for the last 3 years. They rent canoes and take you up the Rapahahanock river. It's a 14 mile trip, that you do in two days. You bring your camping gear and camp along side of the river. Just make sure the water level is high enough. You bacsicaly just drift down the river, drinking and fishing. There are even some small rapids. It's a pretty good time.

innsbrook
Went out yesterday on my lunch break. It was very windy and lots of chop. I ended up catching a nice 4.3 lb. w/ a black spinner bait. Only bite I had in 45 min. So far this year, I've only caught 2 here, but both have been good size fish. Hope the bite gets better as the water warms up.

I work across the street from Lake Rooty. I fish there just about every day on my lunch break, when weather permits. I went on tuesday and caught a 17 inch 2.1 lb. Nice healthy fish. He put a nice little fight, ran twice. That was the first of the year. The only problem at this lake is all of the algae. Best time to fish here is early in the season before all the vegatation grows back. You cant really use crank baits here because of all of the alage. I have my best luck on Senkos fished weightless, or top waters. I'm really familar with this lake. Can can anyone recomend any good spots. I have my best luck on the far side of the lake directly accross from that little cove, or in the cove itself.
