um yea the core has way to much back play for my likes.and the revo has more drag. and the revo holds more line. so imo it is WAY better than my core.

it handles light stuff well,for a bait-caster.as for the drag i have pulled in 8 to 12.5lbs large mouth bass with no problems at all.the drag is more than enough for fresh water applications.imo the only problem i have heard of is if you backlash it real bad it gets stuck in the frame. i love the reel. i think its better than my core! :

best reel i got.imo have not tried the 2010 p.revo.what did you want to know about the skeet revo.

Man if I lost one of those I would have to break out the scuba gear!

what kind of hooks are you using?bait keepers,ewg,double frog hook?I use a med rod and use a double frog hook,and when i feel a tug i use a light sweep hook set.maybe your hook set is to hard.ripping it out of the basses mouth.hope this helps

if you get a bait-caster you are going to need a casting rod.your spinning rod will work but i have broken a few spinning rods with bait-casters on them.they are designed different.

man that sucks. i would think they would fix it for free for you?^^i have a few daiwa and love them too.

i like the p-line cxx but if you hook in to a bigin the line will turn into a spring,but i use a bait caster so twist does not really matter to me.

i still love my carrot stix gold ive pulled in 11,10,9,8 ponders and mine has not broke.as for my megabass destroyer it broke on a 5 pound fish! >

i got a skeet about three weeks ago. love it so much im going to get one more. i got mine for 190 i feel its the best reel for the money. i put it on my carrort stix and its under 10 oz its crazy light.i wish it came in a 7.1 8-)
