I use Revo's and the Premier is my favorite, but To answer your question between the SX and STX, IMO I'd go with the SX. I have the 09 model and I prefer it to the STX. Contrary to what many have said I find it very easy to dial in. I use my SX on a Techna AV and can cast 3/8 oz lures and up. It casts extremely smooth and rarely if ever do I get a backlash. You also mentioned cost as a concern and gloomis.us has the 09 SX's for $99.00. Hope this helps and either way you'll enjoy the Revo's.

Over the last couple of years I've used and loved Gamma co-polymer line. I use it for spinning and casting. I posted a while back as to an alternative as Gamma becomes harder to find. I tried Izorline and it seems ok, ( a little thinner and a little less tensile strength than Gamma ). Recently Berkley Sensation was recommended to me. Has anyone tried this line and how does it compare to Gamma?
