Bass Digging In The Sand
I have set up an underwater camera,in our local river, and watched small mouth doing the same thing,a rather nice sized smallie was pushing flat stones over, and grabbing crayfish,as they were trying to escape, what was funny, was a creek chub was also close by grabbing, what the smallie missed, yes the chub was large enough so he didn't have to worry to much about becoming the smallie's next meal.

How do you fish hydrilla
Use that 30lb braid,a senko, rigged with no weight, and a weedless hook.Lay it right on top of the vegetation, retrieve it with short hops, let it sink in the pockets, and get ready for a good strike.I love the weeds and vegetation in ponds and other areas that I fish,It has paid off many times.I have had a rather large tiger musky grab my bait, right at the edge,of a pocket, while fishing for bass, this way.

Catch and Release?
Don't worry or feel sorry about asking a question, this paticular one, just happens to have a lot of pros and cons.It was a good question. In my case ,I dont keep a lot of fish.I follow catch and realease, only because its my choice.I do once in a while go fishing for a good dinner, perch, crappie, walleye, only because,I dont like the flavor of fresh water bass or trout,Now salt water fish, well that is a different story. There are a couple of places that I fish that have very large bass in them, they are smaller ponds in which the owner wants the fish to be released,in these I use barbless hooks. Trophy trout I also catch and release,I have several trophys on my wall, and these are recreations, and the fish was released. That is my choice.

how do you keep gnats,or no seeums off you?
I use a spray bottle, loaded with diluted ,skin so soft,it seems to work on the black flies also. 8-)

If you could, WHERE?
My choices would be,Cayuga Lake,Ithaca,NY, and then Otisco lake, also in upstate Ny.

Still spawning? Possible?
Here in Upstate NY,the bass and several other species are going through a later spawn, due to the cold weather we had been experiencing.fished two different lakes and my local pond, found bass on the beds,at all three places.I talked to several of the fisherman in our area, and the local tackle shops, they say that is they have found also.

New to fishing
:)The Senko is my main choice of lure,Several colors that work well for me are, shad, cinnamon brown, and when these don't produce,I will use a lime green with white, this particular one has produced several 4-6 lb largemouth.I will also rigg the stick bait, whacky style, hook the senko in the middle of the body, use a slow drop and lift method, this also produces very well for me.For extra excitement hook the senko in the end of it with a weedless hook, cast it on top of lilly pads and use short retrieves.hold on to your hat, when a big bass comes up from underneath, and takes it. GOOD LUCK
