personally if I had to choose between dieing an stickin something up my butt, I'm prolllly gonna die haha. but they had a thing on tv a while back about how man vs. wild is pretty much all fake. I mean I'm sure the stuff he says works an all, but he eats granola bars an stuff like that an they said that sometimes he even stays in a hotel over night when he's supposed to be "stranded in the wild." What a joke.

Hey guys I was wondering if anybody knows of some good places to fish for smallies in NC? I live in Winston-Salem an go to school in Boone so anywhere near these 2 places would be ideal. If possible less than like 30 minutes or so, but if you know of other locations that are farther I'd still like to know about them. Thanks yall

So thanks to the members here on BR I've decided to go w/ the Avid instead of the Premier. I'm thinking of going w/ a 7' medium heavy fast action rod an paring it w/ a Shirmano Citica 200E. This combo sound like a good match? Thanks!

thanks for all the info an advice guys. I think I'm gonna wait a little longer and save a little more money an go w/ the Avid. I mean I'm not gonna be buyin another rod for a good while so why not go all out right. I'm gonna pair it w/ a citica 200E, can't wait!

thinking about gettin a St. Croix rod, but can't decide on gettin a premier or a avid. Does anybody recommend either one of these rods? Any advice is welcome, good or bad. thanks!

oh I forgot... I caught 3 fish in 4 total outings. One on the white tube, an the other two on worms. The biggest was off the white tube at 3.46lbs...jus got a rapala digital scale for chrismtas, glad it got some use haha

thanks for the help guys, only problem is that I forgot that I posted this thread until now an I jus got home. I got lucky though an used most of what you suggested. I tossed out a white tube, but no black one, a lipless excalibur, an of course some worms. I'm goin back for new years though so I'll be tryin the spinnerbait an a black tube. Thanks again yall!

II'm fishing at a neighborhood pond this weekend an the water is murky an filled w/ hydrilla. Does anybody have any suggestions about what to use for this time of year an the water conditions I'm dealin with? Thanks!

Lookin into gettin a new rod real soon. So what techniques are best suited for a 7' med hvy rod?

I know it's probably been said like 10 times by now, but read the winter weather articles. They help a whole lot. Try suspendin jerks with a long pause in between jerks. Another option is senkos, work'em real slow. Also try using a carolina rig it's been productive for me this time of year. Bass are jus real lazy when the water gets cold so ya gotta slow it down.

haha that's awesome that they got to go to hooters, but it sucks for the teacher. I don't see what the big deal is, if it weren't for all those parents that b***h about every little thing jus cause they don't have anything better to do then schools would be much more care free. It's jus stupid.
