El Dorado Park in Long Beach
Welcome to the world of fishing. I wish could help you out with Eldo. All I can say is that they're difficult lakes to learn to fish. I myself have fished those lakes for bass about four times and came up empty. The only thing I've caught out of those lakes were sunfish(cpr'ed). The only advice I can give you is get out there early, don't give up because there are nice ones(bass) in those lakes and focus on the lake with the paddle boats. I'm sure hammer4 on this site can give you some better tips about those lakes since he fishes them more than I. Tight lines.

San Diego area guides?
I've never used a fishing guide service before, but if I were to use one in SD I would have to go with Conway Bowman of Bowman Bluewater Guides & Outfitters. This guy is a remarkable and well known flyfisher. Oh and did I mention he can put you on Makos with bass gear and on the fly? 8-) Here's the link to his site: http://www.bowmanbluewater.com/ I think he also offers guide services on SD's local freshwater lakes like Hodges, Dixon, Poway, etc... I hope this helps.

!!!!!!NEED HELP IN CALIFORNIA!!!!!!
I never hired a guide before, but I've read many great reports about these guides in socal. http://www.petemarinoguideservice.com/ http://artberryfishing.com/ http://www.vaillakeguideservice.com/ They mainly deal with socal lakes like Diamond Valley Lake (the jewel of Southern California ), Lake Perris, Skinner Lake, etc... which all hold nice size bass. I hope this helps.

Pomona, CA
Puddingstone is gonna by your goto lake if your gonna be residing in Pomona. But there are many other decent city park lake in the area too. But if you're looking only +10lb lmb's Diamond Valley Lake and some of the other lakes surrounding it would be your best bet. As for bass clubs, I don't have a clue.

The "sprinkler head" drop shot retrieve works.
Impressive catch on the DS. I myself this weekend took time and patience to learn the drop shot technique which also gave me great results, but not as great as your results. I'm gonna have to get this "sprinkler" tactic a try. Thanks for the shared tip.

using worm binders to hold your soft plastic bait ?
I picked up a fineness binder last year and a love it. Takes up less room than those plastic divider boxes that I use to use before.

Polarized Sunglasses
I just seen that BPS promo (purchase a revo, receive free shades) in their sales ad paper yesterday. You can't go wrong with free shades.

Polarized Sunglasses
Two words: retaining strap.

Polarized Sunglasses
I also fish shallow lakes (stained and clear) and occasionally deep lakes. I used to buy cheap pairs of sunglasses at Walmart but they always ended up breaking after a month of use, so last year I finally broke down and picked up a pair of Hoven Sunglasses (copper lens) for $65 at the local Sport Chalet and I haven't had the need to purchase another pair of sunglasses yet. (Had them for almost a year now). Plus these sunglasses allow me to sight fish easily in stained or clear, shallow or deep waters. Remember , cheap shades break easily, and quality shades usually come with warranties.

Celebrated New Year's (2010) w/ Green Day on Nov 23
Went to the freeee Green Day show at the Nokia Plaza in downtown Los Angeles yesterday and guess what? They were filming for the New Year's Eve with Carson Daly(2010) special. lol Everyone was handed "Happy New Year's 2010" paraphernalia as they walked into the gates. Here's as some pics (from cell): "My sister in-law and I celebrating New Year's Eve in Nov." :clapping: "Before the show started" As for Green Day's performance, d**n they put on an awesome show. They haven't change since the last time I see them (back in '94). At first they played a couple of new songs for the camera, but after that they went old skool with songs mainly from their 1st three albums and then finished off with some newer stuff. I'm so glad I waited +4hrs to see them one last time (maybe). Here's some crappy pics of they're awesome performance:

Fall SoCal
Bassin' has slowed down to a halt at my local city lake. The last decent sized bass I last caught was in the month of Oct. The DFG is starting to dump stocker trout in the city lakes. So start breaking out the swimbaits if you got'em anglers or just put that trout gear you have stored away in the garage back in use :. Tight Lines

Tri City Park- Placentia, CA Anyone fish there?
i fished there once for trout in the winter and it was awesome. DFG put some huge stocker trout in that season. hopefully they do the same this season. as for bass, i recently visited tri-city a couple of months ago, and only managed to pull out a few dinkers from the small connecting pond by texas rigging a 4.5 robo worm (black grape). just keep at it and learn your lake, and soon you'll be pulling out lunkers. hey what's up jeffcpr, this is FFF. great to see you on the boards. this is a great forum for bassin info.
