  1. Leaving tomorrow for a fishing trip up North. Quick Question. I'm always going for Bass whenever I go fishing, but it always seems like I'll catch 5 Pike for every bass, so, why not try to catch a biggin'? My question then is, what are your favorite lures for pike, and where should I be looking for the bigger ones? Thanks!

  9. I never really see anything about Minnesota in this section. Seeing as we're the land of 10,000 lakes, I wanna know where people are fishing in MN and how its going this year. 8-)
  10. Hey everybody, Im Bob from Prior Lake, Minnesota! I have been fishing pretty much my entire life, mostly for crappies and walleye with my dad. I've just started fishing for bass, and hope to learn a thing or two because I'm tired of getting skunked! This website is great, and the thing you guys should be most proud of is that I've never seen anybody talked down to or given any attitude because they're new or asking basic questions. I hope to learn alot from you guys! ;D
  11. Also, they are best texas rigged correct?
  12. Ok I think I'll go grab some bigger ones then. Thanks for the advice guys!
  13. Just a quick question as I've never used a 10" worm before. Are my 3/0 EWG hooks too small for this worm. Should I look into getting a 4/0 or maybe even a 5/0? Thanks!
  14. Oh and PowerBait 7" Powerworm always produces pretty well for me.
  15. Taco Bell has to be my favorite. 2 chicken burritos for $1 a piece is a deal nobody can beat!
  16. Being new to this site... I already know everybody will say Senkos. Haha i just picked me up my first package today!
  17. I do know of a sunken island in the middle of the lake that my dad and I used to Walleye fish at night. Would that be worth a try on a hot summer afternoon?
  18. Just a quick question as I am leaving for the cabin in the next couple of days. I dont get to go fishing alot, so when I do, I like to stay out there from the morning untill night time. During the afternoon, when the summer heat is there and the sun is blazing, I usually dont catch many fish as I like to keep it shallow because I dont know of much deep structure on this lake. My question would be, where should I be looking to fish, and with what on these hot summer afternoons? Any help appreciated, Thanks!
  19. Those are all beautiful. Let us know how they do!

  21. Being a die-hard Packer fan here in Viqueen land is tough. But at least now if they win I can tell them its only because of a Packer!
  22. Well while I'm on the topic, I will ask nooby question #2! The lake I'll be on is in northern Minnesota and the lake is very weedy throughout and I'll be fishing thick lily pads and bull rush.... my question is, which will be better suited Monofilament line or Fluorocarbon? I dont know much about Fluorocarbon as I've used almost exclusivly braided lines since I started bass fishing again. Is it right that braided lines aren't sensitive enough for soft plastics? Any help appreciated. Thanks!
  23. I think the Packers switching their defense to the 3-4 and the draft they had make them look like a good surprise (?) team. They underachieved greatly last year.... :'(
  24. If you cant give the specific name of the rod, then whats the best Action? Length? any advice will be better than what i know haha!
