  1. Big Tom, you owe me a new monitor ;D And so yeah, the process of elimination begins. It had its chance. Gonna move to the next highest recommended copoly
  2. I bought two spools and I don't see why so many folks suggest this crap. My line has snapped so many times in the past month on BIG fish. At the knot, in the middle and everywhere else. Been using the 12 lb, and I am very particular about setting my drag a little looser after i set the hook so it's not a drag issue. I'd also like to think i'm pretty good at steering a fish in, so it's not that i'm fightin em too hard I even re-tie after catching the ones i do catch (1-3 pounds) But the 5, 6, and 7's are breaking off. gonna have to go back to my Trilene Maxx or some 50 lb braid. This is the only advice I've ever gotten from this site that didn't live up to my expectations, but don't worry, i still love you guys i could be doing something that i don't realize though. any feedback?
  3. copy that. goes back to size or numbers. probably catch more throwing something like Catt suggested, but casting past the boiling and dragging a white senko or fluke could get those occasional freeloader fat couch potatoes waitin on the bottom under the frenzy
  4. Paul Elias for deep structure fishing

  6. i love how these things hover around my feet and fan them when i'm fishing in the hot sun ;D
  7. wow sounds like a money spot! i would fish shallow to deep in that spot in the morning since the water has had all night to cool off (assuming it's hot there), they could be shallow feeding. shouldn't take long too see if they're biting in the shallows before you moved a little deeper. at least you've got it narrowed down to that area. good luck
  8. thats so dang bad a$ s
  9. Zoom Plastics......any good? does Rose Kennedy wear a black dress?
  10. what made you fish without one? could be the less intimidating profile that sells to a finicky, summer bass
  11. If all politicians fished instead of spoke publicly, we would be at peace with the world. will rogers "Give a man a fish, and he can eat for a day. But teach a man how to fish, and he'll be dead of mercury poisoning inside of three years" Charles Haas
  12. it's called a passion! i got it too, and it ain't goin nowhere. why it's bass fishing, i'll never know.

  19. you're right, rep called me back and said it's now just the natural shad. but the threadfin in my neck of the woods has a blue back, silver bottom half and a dark colored tail and fins. spros natural shad is almost opposite of that. and the bait John Crews was holding up doesn't look likethe natural shad. tru tungsten put this bait out but is also not available anymore, i don't think. it's the last one under "Tru-Tungsten Swimbait Samples". http://tackletog.com/blog/2009/05/
