  1. We fish out of one in a local neighborhood pond. Very stable realitive to a canoe. You can actually stand in it. I like it.
  2. I totally agree with RW post and will add don't wait to long or the next tick may be the bass spitting the worm out.
  3. I talk to my dog, who always fishes with me. She's a great listner and never disagrees with me.
  4. When waky rigging I would use the Senkos. They're much softer which gives it the quivering action. When I t-rig I have good results with the Senko knock offs.
  5. Hey guys, I haven't posted in awhile, although I have been around. Anyway I was curious as to how far south smallmouth can be caught?
  6. Horsepower limits. Problem solved. Does anyone really need 200 plus hp?
  7. There's not that much cost or effort involved. I think I would go with the manufactures recommendation. Better safe than sorry.
  8. I'll let you know later today when I get back. It's 34 degress right now but it should make it up to 60 or a little better today here in the Fl panhandle. I'm still throwing cranks, just slowing down the retrieve a little. If you get the chance get out on the water and experiment. You'll probably have the lake to yourself, which means less pressure. Also don't forget a bad day of fishing (if that's possible) is better than a good day of almost anything else.
  9. Great reply LBH. I'm going to check that out myself tomorrow.
  10. Alright Preston what do you really want? There must be a reason for that much sucking up. I wish I could've said that well. I agree 100%. Nice post.
  11. Study seasonal patterns. Do a search on this site there tons of great info. Welcome aboard and good luck.
  12. That was so easy I'll do another.
  13. Let's see if I can make this work. I bought this boat off of Ebay sight unseen. I've been very pleased so far.
  14. A sign hanging in our kitchen reads, Give a man a fish he eats for a day. Teach a man to fish and you get rid of him for the weekend.
  15. The first part is absolutely true, "Let your hook be always cast", you can't catch fish if your hook is not in the water.
  16. I've heard it said there's only one situation where you use a trailer hook; When you want to catch fish. If you don't care about catching fish a trailer hook is not nessecary.
  17. FBL, we should fish together because that's exactly how I fish. Sometimes I wonder if I shouldn't slow down. The run and gun seems to work for me most of the time.
  18. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! That's what I think.
  19. My question pertains to boat positioning. How close to the cover do you get before pitching or flipping the lure?
  20. Good job and good luck Matt.
  21. I'm looking to improve the same areas as Nick, offshore structure and cover and more importantly finding the correct pattern to put me on the fish. Can't catch them if you can't fimd them.
