  1. WTG! Some good advice here, I would also add dress the part. Don't dress like a bum. Good luck.
  2. If I'm not mistaken ESPN backed off on the fishing shows last year as well. I think they will pick back up in the spring, say around Feb (I'm in Fl so Feb=spring). Except for us hardcore fishing junkies I think the interest in fishing wanes this time of year and ESPN is aware of this. As far as watching fishing shows on Saturday morning, that's usually not in my schedule. Since we got divo I record all shows to be viewed later.
  3. I saw a picture once of a bass (around 1 pound ? ) that had tried to swallow another bass of identical size. He had it swallowed about a third of the way. I doubt this worked out for either bass.
  4. Keith, there are tagged fish in Deerpoint Lake in Panama City Bch, Fl. Other than that lake I have no idea.
  5. ESPN..... Extremly Stupid Programming Network
  6. If you have been sucessfull almost everytime why change your pesentation. It sounds to me you have found the best way to fish a Senko in your pond.
  7. AMEN I had this very talk with all my kids. (All of us should before PETA dose) my oldest seen a stray cat eating road kill. She was mad at the cat. I explaned to her and my youngest two thats how the world works. Animals are animals and thats what they do . Its not wrong and that animals have no real sence of life and death love or hate. Just eat, survive and reperduce. I hate PETA like most sportsman do, but why do dogs wag their tail and go crazy when they see their owner if they can not feel joy or happiness? Dogs are people too! 8-)
  8. March is good but I love fall fishing just as well.
  9. I'm afraid if the water gets any hotter the bass are jump out and not get back in. :
  10. As Avid said we fish year round in FL. During the months of July, Aug and Dec, Jan I may only fish once a week as oppossed to two or three times a week. After a week of no fishing I'm ready to go.
  11. LBH if you see the rest of the clip the snake starts to crawl. I don't know what kind of snake it is but it's not rubber.
  12. I've always wanted to put a bass in a fish tank.
  13. What, you've never heard of spotted bass? Seriously though, when in doubt throw it out.
  14. The heat can be brutal in FL in the summer, so I fish in the early AM or after dark. Winters are usually short. I quess I'll go with summer.
  15. It's a southern thang. 8-) NC GA FL TN
  16. That deserves an Ata boy Nick, congrats.
  17. Tough break but it's better to have hooked and lost than never hooked at all, or something like that. You'll get him next time. I've set the hook a few times and had the line snap. Had fish make runs and the line break. I've never hooked and saw a big bass that I didn't get, The fish I lost could've been anything from bass to cats to jacks, It always make you wonder.
  18. It's not just you dodgeguy. I also prefer artificials 99.9% of the time.
  19. Now, that I would like to see.
  20. Drop shot rig. Even when I fish slow it's usually not that SLOW! Also the lakes I fish are either to weedy or to shallow.
  21. I hear there's some good bass fishing on the St. John River. NO?
  22. When it makes it down to Florida I'd be more than happy to give it some panhandle mojo.
