33 Inch Rainbow On A Spinnerbait
Im not especially surprised, I was fishing with my dad one time, going down the bank in a boat casting, he takes a cast off the deep side and caught a 5lb salmon on the spinnerbait.

Diary Of A Carp Mad Man
I have put together a decent season catching carp. Im dialed in and have confidence in my rig and my approach. I have not consistently used a spinning outfit in years. Im all about casting gear for bass and pike. Today was my second time using my new spinning combo and I have landed 3 carp with it. I know how to use spinning reels, but I need to work on my accuracy. I think a spinning reel is kind of a better "trap" than a round reel. Thats basically how this fishing is, you set a trap and stand back, wait for the take and the run and then battle the fish in.

What's Happening With These Smallmouth
They may be bombing thru attempting to ambush by speed sunfish or other quick baitfish. Maybe try ripping fast a fluke near them. Or maybe they are carp?

Does Anyone Else Care About Aesthetics Of A Combo?
When I am putting together a combo I really am concerned with it matching and looking cool. My best looking combo Is a silver/grey quantum exo pt matched with a silver daiwa. Its really sharp looking. My carp combo I have been using is a black/red ambassaduer and a black/red ugly stick. Black/red seems like a common color theme on rods and reels. White rods got real popular. The new gloomis rod is black with bright green designs, what reel would match with that bright green color? I am looking at getting a shimano cardiff during the off season, which is silver with gold. Im having a hard time finding a rod that would go with it, thats what made me think to start this thread.

What Do You Pack When You Bank Fish?
I have found a machete valuable for making trails and getting thru brush to new or reclaimed spots on the river. Also pliers and a bottle opener and my trusty scissors.

Striper Fishing Techniques?
But if you look at the biology and the feeding behavior of the striper, you may see they share many traits with black bass. The purpose of their striped appearance is to give the illusion of speed. When striper migrate up rivers during their migration, they will strongly relate to breaks in the current near islands, eddies, and even laydowns and logs. The striped fish is bass.

Striper Fishing Techniques?
I see stripers as a bass. Not just a bass, but The Bass. I use my bass gear; low profile casting reels and 7' rods. I mainly use saltwater lures but lures you use for lm like big poppers and spooks and jerkbaits will work for THE BASS as well. stripersonline that A-jay linked has a good MA forum.

What Happened To The Best Baits Ever
I think the tube, both the flipping tube and the gitzit/finesse tube has really fallen out of style. But years back tubes were hot. There were at least two classics won on tubes. Beaver baits and senkos have really taken its niche.

2015 Lake George, Ny - Exploring The King For Bass (Pic Heavy, 56K, Tl;dr)
Looks like you have unlocked a consistent pattern for deep clear water in the summer. I grew up fishing a lake probably very similar, just as majestic to. I also used a similar vessel. Trolling crankbaits was effective. My most productive crankbaits were a silver wally diver and a fat rap. Some years the smallmouth were focused on shad/baitfish, other years they were more into crayfish. I think trolling was best for fish keyed in on baitfish. That silver wally diver was beat up till it wouldn't run right, but I still used it and it still caught. I might as well post a little secret, try trolling floating rat-l-traps at high speeds.

Diary Of A Carp Mad Man
I couldn't believe it I caught a mirror carp today. I did not know they even existed in this waterway. I happened to have my camera to. The mirror went about 30" and then I caught a smaller (normal) common carp. Also the view across and downriver. You really just never know when you got a hook in the water.
