Hey guys, I'm looking to purchase a good crankbait reel, but having a hard time. I searched the forum but didn't find anything helpful. If you guys can make some suggestions on a reel that will crank well from small to big cranks (bandit 100 types -> fat free shad types), please suggest! Not looking to spend 300 dollars, but wouldn't mind putting in the extra for a good investment.

Jitterbug is a great nighttime bait Rapala DT - I throw it during windy days. One time I pulled out 11 bass in less then an hour with a DT4.

I'd like to try a citica, but I dont want to purchase it to find out it does terrible with casting. you think 12 LB mono would suffice for the job?

we talkin 5-6 inch senkos. my accuracy on spinning sucks, so i wanted to try a baitcaster for accurate/no splash presentation.

any recommendations for a fairly inexpensive reel?

Hello, could use some help. went out to a lake. we went shallow and decided to test some of the waters there. I put on my glasses and realized we were sitting right on top of about 10 good sized spawning bass!! it was a pretty site... However, they knew we were there. sad day. nonetheless, we threw everything we had at them. I mostly tried casting pass the beds and dragging a jig with a vicious RT craw trailer on there. they didn't budge, but they also weren't interested in striking the lure...prob cause they knew i was throwing it. :-[ anyways, in situation like this, are anglers pretty much out of luck on landing these bass? or is there some magic behind getting these bass into the boat?

I had a couple topwater action for my hollow body last night. they didnt take it, but struck the heck out of it. after waiting and seeing if they would come back for round 2, they didnt. tried to follow up with senko. but maybe the bass suspected entrapment. >

I would imagine, like palomino trouts, they'd be high target in the wild, as they are easily identified.
