Chances are you won't catch any , very rare.

if they're albino, (white) it's because of something in their genes... there's albino catfish that are NOT white, but i'm going to guess you're talking about the white ones... in which case your chances are slim to none of ever catching one.

Albino channel cats are very common,, but on fish farms.  They wouldn't survive long in the wild, unless they were planted as adults, and even then....

Try Lake Dorothy in Norton. Don't know about these days but about 10 years ago it was loaded with them.

There is an albino catfish at my double secret pond.

We don't fish for the catfish as they are pets.

Lots of fun to feed them. Only problem is that they will follow you up and down the bank all day long. 

I would imagine, like palomino trouts, they'd be high target in the wild, as they are easily identified.

There is an albino catfish at my double secret pond.

Not anymore.  You can find him at the moment in my double secret stomach. 

I caught one 5 years ago while bass fishing. It was a light yellow and a very white belly. Like the picture above. It was pretty cool to see it come up an dive back down, i had no idea what i had on my line. It was a good 4 pounds or so.
