I have been trying to find a reel schematic for my Bill Dance Select Baitcasting reel but I am just coming up empty. The reel on the rod is a DS301CX. Quantum told me to use the schematics for the MT401CX (Tempo) but I can't find either on any website. I did see on another site that someone mentioned using the AC500CX, but it doesn't look right? Hate to sound like a n00b but I'm out of ideas... I just don't feel comfortable taking my reel apart without the schematics

Speed you can't blame the lake for your skill level Ah I'm just kiddin, Speed appears to be a decent angler. Anyway, I was there awhile ago (3 to 4 years ago maybe) and didn't do that well either. I'd like to give it a second chance though because it looks like a promising lake!

I'm using Chrome and I haven't seen this error at all today. I have MS Security Essentials and Spybot running at the moment. I have MalwareBytes but only run it when I think I'm in trouble. I just went into that thread without an issue too...

If your cam isn't that big all you need to buy is that hat with the mount. They work pretty good and it keep your ugly mug off camera (not to say your ugly ).

I don't like to hit my freespool button when my line is on tension (especially if its a big fish). I broke a reel that way, I hit the freelspool button and it never would engage again. Probably an easy fix, but I would much rather use the drag than do that.

I bass fish year round until the ice comes. Then I hit what streams didn't ice over for trout with the fly rod!

What phone does your son have? A lot of the newer Samsungs can block texts and calls from certain numbers. Look in the address book settings for blocked numbers or also look in the phone settings.

Dicks has alot more than walmart (mine do anyway). Wal marts clearance is usually cheaper and they happen more often. I think dicks exclusive stuff (like the strike king spinnerbaits) are of higher quality than wal marts exclusives. I don't have any sports authorities near me though...

I've never messed with the internals of my reel (i don't think mine has the removable stuff you speak of) but I have my brakes set from 7 to 10 almost all the time. I turned them off before and didn't cast any further than I did having them on, so I just keep them on for insurance

Yeah I wish the hawgtails were smaller (i found the 4.5 inch) but I can always cut the back end off a bit ha ha I was really excited about the cranks! I hate buying them at 6 to 8 dollars a piece so 2 bucks was a steal. They even had good colors like their sexy shad imitator and the green shad and the one with the purple top (i forget the names ha)

Yes! The only bad thing is almost all the strike king hard baits are gone and there were no strike king or netbaits soft plastics (rage tail was gone too). I actually went in for rage craws but there's always the state college dicks

If you're near a dicks that is clearing their fishing stuff to make room for hunting, go now! Here are just a few of my buys: Fat Free Shad Cranks 1.99 for the bigger models (forget the size) they were marked 2.99 Eagle claw 6/0 1/8 oz swimbait hooks 1.99 Yum craw bugs and wooly hawgtails .97! I don't usually buy yum but for .97 you can't beat it. Booyah pro boo jigs .97 again I don't usually buy these but can't beat the price. All the clearance stuff I found was around half less then what it stated on the red ticket.

I was thinking of doing some 3d animation videos on techniques (like Bill Dance sometimes shows, the underwater lure shots and stuff when they are animated). If either Glenn or BASSclary would be interested in adding some underwater 'action' animations, let me know and I could make a few... It takes me awhile to animate though so don't expect them overnight
