Kayak vs. Jon Boat
I have a kayak that I use in the new river and a 12' flat bottom I use in a couple of small lakes that I fish some that don't allow outboards. the kayak is easier to put in anywhere along the river and more manuverable and handles the shallow rocky water better than the flat bottom but I like the flat bottom better in the small lakes with a trolling motor because I usually fish them with a buddy or if I'm alone I have more mobility in the flat bottom I can stand to fish if I need to and can carry more tackle as well. Where in the kayak stuck sitting faceing the way the kayak is headed and am limited in the tackle I can carry

thinking of buying a triton
I am looking at buying a 2001 triton tr20 with a 200 merc efi I can get the boat for $8800 the boat is in really good shape except for the carpet it has several tears along the edges and around the compartments its not wore that bad just tore but the price includes new carpet. The motor looks good as far as finish the prop is not chewed up and the skeg only has normal paint wear the guy at the dealership said it had good compression and run out good. He said he would do the compression test agin with me there to see it when I go back to lake test it. Does this sound like a good deal and is there anything else I need to check out ?
