I posted this question in the fishing tacle section but got no response. I've noticed when the paint on my tungsten weights I get fewer strikes with the shiny weight what do you guys use to paint tungsten that lasts pretty good
  2. I am thinking of switching from 100% fluorocarbon to p line cx premium for pitching jigs and plastics figured it would be more managable. Which color do you think would be harder for fish to see clear flourescent or moss green? also how much sensitivity do you think I might loose between the two lines
  3. I noticed yesterday while fishing that when the paint wore off my tungsten sinkers I would get fewer hits with the shiney sinker but when I put a new one on the hits would pick back up just wondering what you guys used to repaint your tungsten
  4. I have 4 of them and really like them alot I had a fifth the pitchin model I lost a insert out of the 1'st guide when I sent it back I upgraded to a legend tournament bass it is alot more sensitive than the mojo was but it was also $140 more
  5. I have the regular patriarc and last years model premier although the premier is lighter I like the patriarc better it feels smoother and I like the dual cast control
  6. anyone used mcoy floro 100 line how did you like it ?

what hook do most of you guys use for wakey rigging?
  8. vicious line is really stiff .I've had good look with p-line and bass pro floro
  9. I hearing that black and blue jigs are one of if not the best color for a jig. I haven't been able to catch anything on them. I useally fish them in dirty water like everyone says they are good for. I have good luck on watermelon, green pumpkin, and browns just not the black and blue anyone else have this problem
  10. I seen somewhere a guy said he used a snell knot to tie his hook when he was pitching soft plastics. He said it really improved his hook ups anyone else use the snell knot for there soft plastic pitching and flipping
  11. I have a heavy action rod for heavy jigs and punching. I'm looking for a rod to pitch 1/4 to 1/2 oz jigs and plastics in lay downs and around docks. Just noticed in the St croix catalog they have a finesse jig rod that is 7' mhxf for 5/16-3/4 oz lures and 12-17 lb line
  12. I will be useing the rod for pitching jigs and soft plastics like beavers and craws still not sure about the telescoping part what are some of your opinions stick with the 7'6'' mhmf rated for lures up to 1.25 oz and 12-25 lb line or go with a solid 7' mh rod with a fast or moderate action rated for 1 oz lures and 10-20 lb line
  13. I up graded a st croix mojo pitchin rod model # mbc76mhmf is a 7'6'' mh mf action to a legend tournament bass of the same specs but just noticed it was telesopic where does it telescope and for you all that have tried it how did you like it just wondering if I might have made a mistake
  14. I have three of them they are really smooth and cast very well
  15. they're like chinesse finger traps if you pull from the tip end they will get tighter you have to push them off I really like them saves alot of time fishing time on the boat not haveing to untangle rods at every stop
  16. whats your alls opinion on the bps prolite finesse reel its not in there catalog or website anymore was it replaced by the catbon lite
  17. just bought a couple of flatt shads one in the OG color which is gold with a black back and the other in the brw color which is blood red white it has a clear body filled with a clear oil with a little bit of red that looks like a spot of blood the gold one has a pretty good rattle but the white one will just barely rattle is that normal for that color

  19. I like these rods alot I hace the spinnerbait, plastics, crankbait, pitchin, and topwater have never had any trouble with any of them abuddy has a loomis mossyback in a 7' 3'' med action extra fast tip that I've fished some the mojo plastics is close to it being a 7' med action fast tip and I can't tell very much difference if any between them the spinnerbait rod throws spinner very well the plastics rod will throw a light t rig senko or fluke a mile the crankbait rod is rated as a med-hvy rod but looks more like a med and is the lightest rod I have in the series and really whips a crank bait out there as far as frogs go they have a frog and slop rod in the series that is a heavy power but haven't seen one of them nor the swimbait rod for large swimmers
  20. anyone used mcoy extra clear fishing line is it any good was thinking of getting some tw is running a deal if you buy a spool you get a 1000 spool of 12# free

  24. was looking at getting one of the cabelas inflatable vests they have on sale for $85 read some of the reviews and a few said their vests inflated while in the dry was wondering if anyone here has had any experience with these vests
  25. I use a falcon spinner bait box there about the same size as a regular plano storage box not the big square boxs that won't fit anywhere you can get them for spinnerbaits or buzzbaits or a half spinner and half buzz they hold your baits securley you can even turn the box upside down and your baits stay put
