Clear see through tube baits
Ok I will tell you how we use those types of tubes over here in the west. This a bit of a secret... but I will let it out. Get a tube head and take a very bright colored powder coat paint, put that color onto your tube head. Then take it and stick it in the tube looks great... imagine some smallies... Check out http://www.custombigbassbaits.com/ for these colored heads if you don't wanna make them. They really work! Be creative with the color heads, brighter colors work better. Jacob

Can I...?
Yeah no problem also if those don't work you can aways use the cheating stick (senko) ;D

Can I...?
The fish wouldn't take it probably because the bait was going down into the weed and they couldn't see it well enough. I would recommend using either a drop shot with a foot long leader so the worm will be right above the weed and then you can just leave it there and shake it in their face. Or you could try using a texas rigged worm with a very very light weight so that the worm will just sit on top of the weeds and not punch all the way through. Hope this helps and good luck!! Jacob

8" HUDDS
Take 65 pound braid and run it through a medium to big sized treble hook. Then tie thee braid directly to the line tie and hook the treble next to the top fin on either side. (usually when a fish eats these baits, they take it head first) The reason you don't want to use a bottom hook on your HUDD is because if you happen to hook into a big un witch isn't unlikely then the hook on the bottom with go directly into the fishes gills. If you are a tournament fisherman like me and probably Matt and Randall also then we don't want the chance of a huge fish dieing. Asking a question about which Hudd to throw and then answering how to rig them in your own thread stinks like a copy and paste hero. :-X Sorry i just was asking what "8 inch" hudd to use i use the 6 inchers alot, and i rig them the same way as i would rig the 8 inch.... :-?

Winter bassin'
I always look at the water that i am fishing and find areas that you would fish in the summer (deeper cuts and drops) then choose a big bait. I really like to throw baitsmith swimbaits or hudds this time of the year. Choose bait your size depending on the size of the fishing in your body or water, 2-4 pounder are main size throw a 6" baitsmith or hudd, 4-10 use the big stuff 8" hudds and the 9.5" magnum trout by baitsmith. I would also recomend reeling them as slow as you can, and try throwing jigs fish in he winter time some reason always eat a jig!! Hope this helps man and tight lines ;D
