  1. Thanks for the info. Speaking of augers, a friend took me ice fishing in early January, i couldn't believe the size of the crappy we caught, and in good numbers. Great fun.
  2. Looks like an upgrade is the way to go. For now, is operating the Minn Kota by foot something i will be able to do (and fish) or should i upgrade right away? Could you explain the differences in boat operation? I am a first time boat owner with no experience with trolling motors.
  3. A very interesting read, ty gentlemen.
  4. Presentation indeed.
  5. I have a pair of Oakley polarized made in my perscription that are very good, however, i also have a pair of BPS 'Jimmy Houston' polarized that are wonderful for fishing. $230 vs. $14.95
  6. Looking to put in a cd player/radio with speakers, in my new boat. I have help with installation, so any suggestions on decent equipment in the $300 range? Much obliged for any help!
  7. I have the 'terrova', 55 lb. thrust, no AP, no sonar. Did i make a mistake in having just the foot pedal to operate the boat?
  8. Artificial, hard or soft, live, no matter the bait, presentation is the key for me.
  9. In the mudiest water, i prefer the largest spinnerbait i have with a single blade.
  10. The LM, i'd guess 4lb.7oz. (unless i caught it, then it would weigh close to 10lbs.)
  11. Some excellent advice here. I would add, when cranking cover, keep the lure in contact with the cover as much as possible.
  12. Alumacraft 145 CS. Minn Kota 'terrova' with 55lb thrust, 20hp 4 stroke Honda.
  13. Since stability is your main concern, i'd opt for a deep-V hull.
  14. I agree whopbazz, although a lipless is easier to keep in contact with the grass, a must for me to get strikes.
  15. Hello from Philadelphia. Long time fisherman here, new boat owner. Looking forward to my stay here..thanks.
