  1. Well I'm heading up this Friday for a small alumni tourney on Saturday. I know some of y'all are gonna be meeting up that weekend too, and I wish you all luck. My buddy and I will be in a white Blue Wave bay boat with dark blue or black trim at the top. I'm about 6'4" with brown hair down near to my shoulders, and we'll probably be anywhere from Pirate's Cove, South Toledo State Park, Six Mile and Housen(as we really are just gonna try to figure out where to head in another day or so, but the weigh in is at South Toledo State Park)...if you run across us definitely feel free to come say hello and tell us where they're at, 'cause we'll be guessing! Seriously though, thanks to everyone for the information over the last months, and I'm definitely better prepared to give it a shot this week than I was in January. It's my buddy's boat, but I'll do my best to keep us off the banks! I've bought most baits that were mentioned more than a few times on here, as there was definitely a pretty select group of them, so I guess there's nothing else to do but get through the next couple of days. Can't wait to put a line in the water. Again, best of luck to you guys...
  2. Yeah, I could definitely go for more map tutorial too...I'm like a kid in a candy store looking at all the possibilities on my map...it's hard for me to focus on something and really get a good understanding of what I'm seeing...
  3. Thanks Catt, I read through that thread this evening. I'm definitely hooked on this forum, and I'm sure I'll be checking in with more questions soon.
  4. Like a few others I have seen posting, I'm brand new. I just happened to stumble upon the thread while searching for info for a tournament in March as well (27th). I have a ton of questions, but I'll try to keep it to a couple at a time. Most of it has to do with things Catt has said, but anyone else should feel free to chime in if they have opinions or answers. 1)Catt, you've stated more than once that you stick to 15' +/- 3 with the exception of pre-spawn/spawn, avoiding banks as a general rule. I may have missed it, but I didn't see you list a general strategy for the pre-spawn/spawn at any point after that. As my tournament is right before the March 30th full moon you mentioned, that makes spawn strategy my main interest. Oh, and the tournament weighs in out of South T.B. State Park. I imagine we'll stick to the lower third of the south end of the lake, basically from Pirate's Cove on south from there, but that's just my assumption at this point. So during the spawn I'm guessing you're more willing to work your way shallower toward the bank, or locate those "humps" in deeper water with bass that aren't going toward the bank, but I'd sure like to hear your strategy. 2)The coordinates for ACME mapper for the Arnold Bay area from earlier in the thread...I looked at the Hook n' Line map along with the ACME site, and the map shows three road beds that come into contact with each other right in that area...I just wondered if that had anything to do with how this structure looks the way it does and is of interest? Many have said it, but I'll say it again. Thanks to everyone who contributes to expanding our knowledge of this lake. The information and depth of critical thinking passed on thus far has been really great to read, and I look forward to using it and reporting back on my experiences. Thanks again, Robert
