  1. Wow, my fantasy fishing roster is terrible.... :-/ :-/ :'( >
  2. kayaking on a WARM day where paddling is not neccessary just sit back throw the line and listen to the water roll.
  3. Well I hope they're not over it.
  4. Wow, pretty much none of that looks good.
  5. Crappies are plenty aggressive and are not the picky type of fish. I have only caught 1 crappie probably because of where I live (Blacksburg, VA). Surprisonly there are very little bodies of water that hold any crappie at all for a good distance.
  6. I have used Lucky craft pointers 100sp's before they are fair in cold water conditions but sometimes the fishes mood and apppitite will not give in to almost any bait they see cross their paths. Lucky Crafts seem to work better in large ponds or lakes and not sluggish rivers and creeks where the jig's performance can be disrupted.
  7. Yes, that is a the case sometimes too, and like what Magician said, the fishes mood contributes greatly to how it strikes.
  8. Yes, I agree that many anglers do not understand the patience of the slow retrievel. 90% of bass strikes occur on the fall of a lure and not the jigging motion that most believe. Bass arnt all dumb, they know that they can attack prey better when it does not move(a no brainer). Jigs especially<---
  9. Then invite some people, there are a lot of members on bassresource
  10. C-rigs and possibly med spinners fished from shallows jerkbaits could work as well
  11. Yes and I would not recommdnd it the fishing is fine on good days but the pond is sort of nasty... my friend told me he saw a dead dog in it..... now I'm not saying thats true because he says a lot of things but take it into consideration
  12. New Member from Blacksburg, Virginia. I fished in everywhere within 30 miles and more. I'm 14 and I've been fishing since I was 5 and know a ton about it. I've caught 9 muskies and proud of it (some of my biggest fish{all in the New}). I go to the New River every year for 5 hour float trips from McCoy falls to lower Pembroke. I have a secret honey hole on the New where only a handfull of people know of. I've caught numbers of citation smallmouths, largemouths, and catfish. I saltwater fish every year as well down in Hatteras, NC. I go to the Chesapeake Bay every year on my uncles boat for striped bass and cobia fishing. The biggest fish I have ever caught is a 58 lb striped bass on a cold windy day in the bay. I know everything about the New River so any questions, I'm the guy. ;D ;D 8-)
