  1. In most cases on my boat the person at the front is throwing far different baits than the person in the back. The last two times out the person in the back out fished the person in the front almost 2 to 1. Now this was pike fishing but i've experienced days where i clean up from the back and other days where the person in the front takes more fish. In my boat everyone on the boat is given a fair shot at the fish. No point in trying to hog fish. After all this is a sport that is suppose to be fun for everyone.
  2. Hello from a fellow Southern Ontario resident. Lots of great information on this site. I am also pretty new here but have learned a lot already.
  3. I've had most of my luck with the wacky rig. Just seems to bring the fish out of the cover every time.
  4. I like to shop ebay or walk around bass pro looking at the sale tags. I'd say i pay full price around 50% of the time. I do this when it's a product i really need.
  5. I am also just getting into jig fishing this year. Every year i try to learn something new and this year it's fishing the jig. I've been practicing my flippin in the back yard and now i'm ready for the bass season to open up and to start landing the lunkers.
  6. Congrats on the good outing. The more you fish for them the more hooked you will become.
  7. I have also had great luck using jig and grub. I use 1/4oz chart jig and orange grub. It's my go to bait when nothing else will catch.
  8. Good luck on the trip. I can't wait to see some pictures.
  9. Still counting the days till I can start targeting the bass. One month 12 days to go.
  10. I really enjoy using tube jigs. I've had my most luck with them.
  11. What better topic to make my first post. I have a few things I do. First is i have my lucky fishing hat that always has to be with me when I'm fishing. Second is i have about 3 t-shirts that are my "lucky fishing shirts" and i have to have one of those three on when i go out. Third and probably the most odd is my lucky fishing underwear. I have the really lucky pair and a few lesser but still some what lucky. I know full well that this stuff has nothing to do with catching fish but when you can do something that tricks your brain into having a bit more confidence you should do it because you will catch more fish.
