Yeah it looked like he would make it at the beginning. I forget who it was, but Shaw seemed a little ticked at the other guy moving in on his spot. It's hard for me to get excited with the Florida type fishing, guys hook a fish, surf them over the weeds and flip them into the boat. Or if it's a nice fish, it gets wrapped up in a mass of weeds, they move the boat to it and haul it, with weeds, into the boat. It's really boring to watch IMO. Then you have Ish throwing topwaters in a canal, catching 1 lb. fish, not that I blame him, looks to be a good strategy, but just not that fun to watch, he just speed reels them into the boat. (Yawn).

Here's my pic of the Meanmouth, mainly I'm posting it to see if I successfully resized the pic, just got a new computer with Windows 8.

Yep it's a great area, lots of water within a hour or so, Beaver, Grand, Table Rock, and some smaller lakes. I live in Bella Vista, which is a town you should check out when you get to that point in life. We've got some community lakes that have some good bass populations, they get a lot of pressure but keep kicking out the bass. If you're down here again and have some time, let me know and we can get out and fish one of the community lakes.

Never have fished it. Ozarkanglers.com/forums has a thread on it, but it hasn't been updated lately. It's a popular tournament, I believe 400 or so boats participating. Ozarkanglers has a Table Rock thread that's a good one to follow if you're looking for reports and info.

Got a 2 lb. Meanmouth on one yesterday on Table Rock. I had to place a suspend strip on the belly to keep it from floating to the top. I'm not crazy about the castability either, they cast OK, but not as well as some of my other jerkbaits. But they do get down deep quickly and have good action.

Another vote for the Mustad KVD's.

Pro Blue and Elegy Bone are excellent colors in this neck of the woods. Hard to buy them at BPS however when you can wait for a sale at an online retailer and get them a few bucks cheaper.

Jerry is crazy like a fox. He realizes that football is entertainment, we fans think of it as a sport. We fans want our teams to win, but Jerry doesn't necessarily see it that way. Signing Romo to what appears to be a ridiculous contract, generates publicity and adds to the soap opera drama that is the Dallas Cowboys. No matter what the Boys do on the field next year, Jerry's new stadium will be filled, Cowboys logo stuff will be sold, and Jerry's wallet will grow fatter. Not that Jerry doesn't want to win, but making money is his primary goal, and he's d**n good at it.

I wish I could give some advice but I haven't fished it myself. Saw a fishing show the other day, they were fishing Bull in the spring and catching quite a few smallies, for the life of me I can't remember who it was fishing, (I watch too many fishing shows), but it looked like fun. I'm sure you guys will do well.

Got an email from BTD this morning, 20% Easter discount. Unfortunately they seem to be out of stock of the colors of stuff I might have ordered.

I lived in Mass myself for a while, you'll love OK, you have enough water in a 2 hour radius of McAlester that you'll need 2 lifetimes to fish it all. And you can bass fish year round (it does get hot in the summer, especially August).

Thanks for the tip, I've been doing well with tubes lately, but I've been t-rigging them, this looks to be a lot more snag free, and gives them a different look. I've also been thinking about trying the tube rigged jika style.
