Couple Of Living Rubber Jigs
Was playing around with the rubber the other night and tying my usual black/red and black/blue. Figured I'd experiment with some more colors a little and here's two that I came up with. Midnight Special Mean Green

Problems With Do-It Football Shakey Head Mold
I don't have the fb mold but do have the round head one. On mine I've found that laying the screw lock in first then the hook one top of it helps hold it in place better. As for the closing look the mold over CLOSELY for any specks of lead or dirt that has stuck to the face of the mold. Any little piece will provide just enough gap for the excessive flashing.

Citrus Shad Buzzbait
Been awhile since I posted anything. Put my Citrus Shad skirt on a buzz bait and thought it turned out extremely well. That's just my opinion though. What about everyone else?

Making Jigs With Living Rubber
I mostly use Devcon 2 Ton 30 Minute Epoxy. Can use superglue GEL if only doing a small amount for personal use. The Epoxy dries clear. If you get a little too much superglue on there you can end up with some white residue sometimes.

Making Jigs With Living Rubber
The round rubber comes in rolls of various sizes depending on where you order from. It's generally 40 strands wide. To get your "tab" so to speak just roll out and cut into 5 1/2 to 6 inch pieces. You then can do one of two things: 1. Put into a band, squeeze at the band and seperate pieces then put on the jig, or 2. Do as I and wrap the rubber around the jig and tie in place, then seperate. To me option 2 is the easiest/fastest. I use thread for this, then either glue, or wire over it to ensure it's not going anywhere. If you want to use various color just lay them on there make a wrap or two, then lay the next. As for the weedguards I prefer tying without them. Easier to roll the rubber around the jig. If you are tying for yourself then you could do either way. If weedguard is in, you can work your way around it. Or you can pull it out of the way with a rubber band or something until your done. Keep in mind that more times than not this will flare the weedguard to some extent.

Shooting for Chartruese Shad.....need opinions
Yes, that's what I meant...lol I was off somewhere else when I typed the title. Didn't realize it until later and just left it. IF I ever get a chance to update my website with the spinnerbaits, it will be listed as Citrus Shad.

Bonehead......some Threadfin Drafts.
Bonehead, been a while, but haven't forgotten. Here's a couple threadfin drafts to look at. Not able to find a real good pic on the internet, so went with a light version and a dark version. The third pic is just a skirt I made while I had that material out. Thought it looked good too. Gonna call it Blondie....lol Sorry for the poor pics. I've tried for 2 days to get a detailed pic and just cannot get all the angles right. Threadfin 1 Light version: Reflective silver and blue glimmer silver flake on back, chart lateral line, and translucent gold crystal on bottom. Threadfin 2 Dark version: Striped black/gold/clear gold flake back, chart/gold lateral line, translucent gold crystal bottom. Blondie: Striped Black/Gold/Clear Gold Flake.

Shooting for Chartruese Shad.....need opinions
Thanks for the replies everyone. I may not catch anything, on it, but I'm sure gonna give it a chance! Monte- I try to keep them all simple. Easier to keep them consistent that way and saves time. Thanks for the compliment Jigfish- I like my skirts that way. Eliminates the need for a trailer. Sometimes I prefer the even cut with a trailer though. The skirts do take better pictures with an even cut. When the top is short like that, the gap between the top flare and the bottom of the skirt kinda messes with the angles and reflections some.

Shooting for Chartruese Shad.....need opinions
I like throwing a chartruese shad crankbait, so figured why not try it on a spinnerbait. Played around with it a little and this is what I came up with. What do you guys think about it.

Heavy Duty 1/4oz Buzzbait
Yes it is cad. Just wish I could find a way to get a good pic of it. Tried 4 different settings, with lights, without lights, flash and no flash.....lol

Heavy Duty 1/4oz Buzzbait
Got tired of not being able to find a heavy duty 1/4oz Buzzbait in the stores, so I made me one. 0.051 Wire 4/0 OWNER hook. Dwarfs the 3/0 you find in most storebought ones. The first color in Living Image Ghost Minnow. Could not a get a good picture of this skirts. It is a pearl base with silver flake, then has alternating purple, green and blue glimmers as the striped part of it. It looks great in hand, just does not catch the glimmers well on camera. The other is just the old standby black and blue chrome.

My Bluegill Jig
Looks good to me.

Swim Jigs For Personal Use
Look good Fuzzy. I agree on the 1/2 band. Really adds some flare to the skirt on the heads that don't have the big skirt keepers. Keep it up!

Blue Gill Buzzbait......
Haven't been on here much lately. Just wanted to say thanks again guys and really appreciate all the kind words and comments. Us baitmakers really like hearing the good and bad of what we are doing. No more enjoyment in the world than to have someone pleased with what you've made.....well maybe one....catching fish on it! Thanks again everyone.
